Thanos' mocking laugh echoed unnaturally in the cave, as he unleashed an energy blast against Kang.

Kang had access to centuries of technology yet to be imagined, let alone be invented, but it could not hope to withstand the Mad Titan's power. It was only Kang's force of will that enabled him to remain standing against Thanos' onslaught.

"So, you can handle these guys without me, right?" whispered a nervous Pip. He saw Ultron advance, and right now, this cave was the last place in the universe he wanted to be.

If he heard the troll, Thanos did not bother to reply.

"Listen, I'm just going to step out real quick to pick up some stogies. If you need me, I'll be in Havana." In a wink, Pip was gone.

"Aaaaagggghhhh!"

In another wink, Pip was back, this time about six feet in the air above his previous position. Kang's incredible future technology disrupted his teleportation powers, trapping him in the cave.

Pip closed his eyes, bracing himself. When the impact came, it was much softer than Pip anticipated. The troll opened his eyes to find that he had landed on the world's unluckiest ninja, knocking her out cold.

A falling stalactite missed Pip by inches. The cave shuddered at the vast energies unleashed by Thanos and Ultron. The underground cavern would almost certainly be the first casualty of the clash between the two.

"My momma didn't raise any stupid trolls," said Pip as he ran for the exit.

Pip had tried to use his powers to teleport away from what was surely an imminent cave-in, but Kang's technology still countered his powers. "#%&* Kang and his thigh-high purple boots," muttered Pip.

"What the hell???!!!"

Suddenly Kang and his thigh-high purple boots materialized in front of a very confused Pip. The diminutive troll collided with the conqueror from the future, knocking him into the path of a falling stalactite.

THUD!

Kang's personal force field absorbed the worst of the blow, but the impact still knocked him out cold.

"Hey, this looks like the same cave." It looked like the same cave because, it was, in fact, the same cave; the troll was too disoriented to properly focus on his destination. Pip looked up to see Ultron's malevolent glowing eyes.
