My fav item to Nanobot has got to be the hotdog stand pog. I just get this mental image of the character stopping mid-battle and making themself a chillidog.
1. When carrying the desk to increase your D +2. Is it destroyed the first time someone attacks you? I mean if they miss is it still destroyed? Is it destoyed only if they hit you?
2. The new sattelite from LOSH. I know it is a heavy +1 to damage, but does it also remain in the game after used, like dumpster?

1. No, it's only when you choose to use it in defense. It takes all the damage like the Protected Feat.
2. No, it's not indestructable. Objects will say "indestructable" or "item is not destroyed on use" if they don't get destroyed... "Continual" just means that it doesn't lose it's abilities when it's carried.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

I think that is misleading. The Desk can raise your defense by 2 but it does not take any damage. If you have 17 def, the desk can make it 19. If the attacker gets 19 though you get hit and resolve the damage as normal.
1. So if they hit you you can the roll your imp. and if you miss have the desk take the damage and remove it?
Nope, you have to say "I'm using the desk" when your opponent declairs the ATTACK.... I was just saying it takes the damage like Protected to make the point that it wouldn't hurt you if the desk was destroyed. I should have clarified that.
I also didn't notice your question in that bunch about if it's destroyed with a miss... the answer is yes, it's destroyed whenever it's used in an attack, whether successful or not. I believe it's even destroyed if your opponent gets a Crit Miss (which would suck. LOL!!).

I don't think so... if the desk is used and the attack is still hit, I don't think the defender takes damage......... unless everyone I've played against and talked to about the object misunderstood it (which is entirely possible with how seldom I see it used and how seldom it's talked about).
I've always heard that it effectively works similar to Protected in the fact that the desk takes all damage when used no matter what. Do that many people misunderstand it, or is that right?

It seems that everyone you've played with misunderstands it, as you aren't right. Check the link provided earlier in this thread; it never says anything about absorbing damage, just raising your defense.
In short, your opponent declares the attack. You declare whether you're using the desk of not. He rolls and you resolve the effects of the attack. Hit or miss, if used the desk will go away.
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
The rules say nothing about the desk taking damage, only the +2 to defense. Nothing I can find in the errata or FAQ indicating anything about taking damage either. I've used the desk at several venues, over three states and with probably five or six different judges.
I'm certain it's just the +2 to defense (or use as a regular light object in attack).

Absorbing the damage entirely would completely defeat the purpose of the +2 defense bonus they went to the trouble of writing out for the desk too. Why bother adding 2 to your defense when you're not going to be taking the damage either way?
The desk works like this. You declare using it then your defense is raised +2. The other player makes their attack. The desk is destroyed. You handle damage like normal.

I always thought that seemed a bit pointless to say +2 DV from what I was hearing from others. What really ingrained it in my head is that I read it a couple times on the forums (I don't recall whether here or WK), too.
Well, at least the object isn't used very often around here. LOL!!
It does seem like a lot of people misunderstand the desk more than most of the others objects, too.

The desk adds +2 to defence, period (if you choose to use it). If your opponent attacks and you choose to use the defence bonus then the desk is destroted REGARDLESS of hit or miss
If you choose not to use it, treat it as if your character was holding any other, normal light object
Or move through/on/next to it with Phantom Girl and use Disruption on it
On the Broken Drone topic, the only real use I could see for it is with Armor Piercing on a mid-range attack fig... if you're really adventurous, use AP on the Misty Knight pog and have her tote it around
