I think that both Ares and the Hulk lost their 5th smiley! (and that Winter Soldier got at least 1 of them)

I agree with a lot of the assements, but I'd tweak as follows:

Winter Soldier: I like this piece; I think it will see play (especially theme play) in constructed....but I worry about how well it will do with common/uncommon Ultimates...he has range, but I'd worry about an opponent out-maneuvering this piece.

Ares has only 1 obvious flaw: at 275 points, he literally is a one-man army. However, I think that in SEALED play, it is going to be hard to KO this figure from just CUR pieces. The best anti-Ares strategy? Play the Exhaustion BFC (if you get it) otherwise try to win on points.

Hulk: Like Ares, it will be hard to collect KO points...unlike Ares, he is only 187 points.

I like the Idea of the hulk not having battle fury for the reason state in the review.

The Ultimate Hulk can now throw a car at someone, even some one in stealth!

Yeah Hulk is looking at you Black panther!

Ok, I hope to pull a good SR at least one day. That seems fair! Citizen V is just friggin' amazing, along with Winter Soldier. Spider-Man just rocks, and his special power is just icing on the cake. 2 tokens at once? Yes please!

Question about Cap & Bucky - duo figures cannot be carried? Can they be TK'ed? Thanks!

(BTW, AZS, I am enjoying your reviews very much. Thanks for posting them, especially for people like me who are still in the process of learning about the new game mechanics.)

The rules only say they can't be carried, so TK is apparently still open to them -- but I'll let someone else verify that. I don't have the rulebook here and when I checked the pdf of the rules earlier I ended up freezing my browser.

Since there's no TK in Avengers (aside from the Mandarin's ring) it won't matter in these sealed events.

Winter Soldier + Guardsman. Think it'll be a good team-combo?

No. I say this only because Guardsman is 30-some points and the point values will probably offer a more favorable choice. The TAXI+SHIELD may look good, but unless they face a single big target I thinkit will be hard to get much production out of them.

Thanks for being open-minded on Cap & Bucky. Three smilies is perfect for them. If there was some cheap perplex in the game, I'd give them a better shot. But the only good utility fig, if I remember correctly, with lots of PX is Black Panther, and at 98 or so points, teaming him with Cap & Bucky is iffy...

Totally diggin the super rares (well some of them), I have Spidey and Winter Soldier, but would totally love to pull them in a sealed. I still haven't used the ones I own and I already want more. lol

Well, there is Grim Reaper too. Would be kind of funny though teaming Death with Freedom.

just kidding...great reviews as always. Super Rares seem to have the best average score this time around...I think if I pulled Ares I'd give him a go unless I had really good figs otherwise.
