Kaitouace, you got it the other way around. It's the card that says unavoidable and the site that says penetrating, the site is still wrong.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the actual card says unavoidable damage and since you must use the real card to play Red Skull, it is unavoidable until changed.
In my opinion Red Skull would be near broken with LMD. Since you can use all 3 powers during your turn and not take damage from using them with LMD.
Good to hear that. I got real heebie-jeebies as I read the first posts, and felt silly for not "realising" it myself!
Red Skull just had his 15 minutes of borkenness...
When I first saw the stats posted I thought Taskmaster and Red Skull were NOT worth their points. It turns out that only Taskmaster is a pile of poo. I've done great things with Red Skull even when his power does hurt him.
'The game used to be built around many fundamental rules. But there are a number of figures that fly in the face of those rules. Their powers are too all encompassing, and too cheap.' -MegaLotusMan
The 'or' implies that they can't all be used in one action, not that they can't be used all in one turn.
You can even use the PC to re-roll a 1-3 after using the outwit or perplex! (Of course, you then have to roll for the PC...but still...)
Or, you can re-roll a result of 4-6 to take a click and suddenly gain Poison. This really caught me by surprise in the first CoG tourney, as there was no way I could see it coming.

I really like the piece a lot. It's too bad (or NOT) that Lockjaw's gone.
Once upon a time, he would've made the ultimate LAMP piece, psychic blasting early and using his Special Power with a fair amount of recklessness until he landed on his poison/MM clicks
Lockjaw may be gone, but his legacy lives in every clixer tinkering with new fiendish LAMP teams.
I'm noy sure about Red Skull being the (theoretical) ultimate LAMP piece, though. I've found those who start with Poison and MM right away to be more effective.
I have LMD and the Red Skull character card right in front of me and it states, "Choose a character. This character may not be healed. Damage dealt to this character is reduced by 1 if it is not reduced by any other affect." First off, Red Skull starts with invulnerability so that's not gonna help out his case, second of all the Red Skull character card states, "1 unavoidable damage" so I don't see how this combo works.

(yes, I know this whole point is moot since this isn't how the Cosmic Cube power actually works, but he asked).
As you pointed out, LMD activates when the damage dealt is not reduced by any other effect. Since the gallery description of Cosmic Cube had the damage erronously listed as 'penetrating', the Invulnerabilty would NOT have reduced the damage... thus making LMD activate and penetrating damage does not ignore feats.
Say he rolls to see if he takes 1 click of damage from using the cube, can he use the cube then to Prob control the 1d6 roll for it?
Yep. He can't use the OW part of it, but the PC and Perplex are "Used" powers, and both of them can be used on the user.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
