"Empress, I realize your intellect is stymied by the Eye of Ekron, but please don't assume to know how a 12th level intellect thinks. You'll only hurt yourself in the process." Brainiac 5 replies to the Empress, "Besides maybe you've heard of ...now what did Kara call it... oh yes, a 'bait and switch.'"

Brainiac-5's image begins to flicker and fade out away from where Empress and Persuader had cornered him only to appear near the top of the compactor, "or to put it in terms you would understand. A trap. Amazing what one can do by inverting a cloaking device."

"Wildfire, we're a go. Hit em hard. I aligned the magnetic force of the planet to help you get to Shavaughn. She'll have a lens that'll focus your blast. I think she gave one to Brainy too. Make it count," Cosmic Boy orders.

"Bout time." Aided by Cosmic Boy's temporary reconfiguration of Tharr's magnetic field, Wildfire flies in blazing. The force of the blow causing Empress to protect herself and allowing Brainiac to short out the mystical protection that has been surrounding the Fatal Five.

"Butchers!! You don't tell the Science Police what to do." Shavaughn shouts at the two as she fires a shot that strikes the eye. "You're under arrest. Now turn yourselves in."
