Very, very true, but head to head comparison was not the point I was trying to make. Surely, you don't imply that in the collective understanding Powercreep=Flash and Flash only, eh?
No. I just wanted to show why Flash's 20 DV is Borken while Superman's is not.
Yoda of Borg, we are: Futile, resistance is. Assimilate you, we will.

"Broken" does not always equal "Powercreepy", though.
Doomsday is PCreeped (do those words even exist?) but not broken.
Is herald Silver-Surfer broken? In tournament play maybe, in home play maybe not. But he IS a case of PowerCreep.

Black Bolt was the heavy honcho of the Sinister set, at 166 points.
Would anybody like to speculate on his point value were he to be remade in M&M?
165?
I definitely don't think Green Scar, Doomsday, and Ares represent power creep, I think they represent Green Scar, Doomsday, and Ares, who are powerful characters.

to post here, but it helps
I'm not sure if it's really Power Creep so much as Seth seemed "extra-cautious" in his first few sets (the relative lack of Impervious in CD/Giants comes to mind; I think Radioactive Man has more than those two sets combined) and was still feeling things out. So as he gets "up to speed", it may seem more like "power creep" as opposed to a smoothing out of the ride.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

I think he was held up more by the fact that he was in "Hypertime" which was a real "learning curve set" for the game-design. Heck, Superman couldn't punch his way out of a paperbag, let alone through a wall in that set.

I believe that Seth, in his infinite wisdom, "read" the fed-up-with-big-bruisers market's need for effective, mid-to-low-end figures correctly and acted accordingly. Also, in his infinite wisdom, he knows that the newbs won't come to play with V Echo (which is a marvelous piece BTW) but with Power Cosmic Spider-man. And he acts accordingly, in par with the Big , expect anythin (more?) Anniversary campain.
One could think that there wasn't ever a Power-Creep, just a Water-Down intermission.
One could be wrong.
