Unfortunately, Countdown and the Sinestro Corps War ran into scheduling conflicts a few months back when Kyle joined the universe hopping Challengers team. From that point on everything in Countdown takes place after the end of the Sinestro War which I believe we see the end of in December.
but don't worry. now what we got 52 universe tehy can explain it everything with the "it was in another Earth"
Ion, having the power of a Daxamite PLUS all that green energy, kills Superwhelp-Prime. Anti-Monitor/Sinestro/someone secrets him off and gets him reincarnated/raised from the dead like Superman was when Doomsday killed him. Which would explain the black/silver suit.
Does this mean, though, that we should call him Supergoth-Prime?

well i just feal bad how he killed jason tood aka batman .
I feel bad that DC decided to limit themselves with only 52 multiple Earths and now they're going around blowing them up. With Prime-boy's destructive power they could all be gone by the time Countdown ends.
No. They really can't use the name or image of 'Superboy'.
Which is why Superboy was killed in Infinite Crisis, has only been refered to as simply 'Conner' since then, and is only ever shown with something obscuring his S in flashbacks.
Apparently, when DC bought the rights to Superman from Shuster and Siegel, they weren't specific enough. The heirs of Siegel argues that Superboy is a seperate entity from Superman, that DC does not have the rights to, and a judge ruled in their favour.
Presumably to be continued.
Yoda of Borg, we are: Futile, resistance is. Assimilate you, we will.
It's more a matter of copyright law changing so that, retroactively, creators can get back ownership of things they signed away with no protection. Superman was already past a deadline, but Superboy was not.
DC probably could use the character/name, if they were willing to pay for it. Given that they basically got Superman for free, and Superboy was created by the same people in the 50's, it wouldn't exactly be terrible if they compensated their estate some.
Of course, I don't know what the Siegel estate is asking for, or if any negotiations have even taken place.
i just have to say superman prime kiss a** thank u .
Sounds like it. Guess that's what happens when you're trapped in another dimension with one baby grown to be in his 20's in a day's time, an old man and his equally old wife. Nothing to do but kiss buttocks all day.
