Queen and her Court: Turn 2

free) "Now would be a good time for you to start paying attention my little minions!" Emma remarks harshly. The White Queen rolls for leadership, roll is: 4, she got it!

1) "Your plan will push my systems far past their operating limits, but I shall gladly lay down my life for you my Queen!" The SHIELD Agent in the Mandroid Armour activates his repulsor beam gently and with utmost care, nudging the White Queen free of the wall and into a better position. For his loyalty he is rewarded with smoke and sparks hissing from the joints in his suits as his systems overheat. The Mandroid Armour TK's White Queen to I9 and takes 1 from the push.

2) "Looks like my services will be needed soon!" The A.I.M Medic smiles under her mask, running to H8 to stand by her Queen.

3) "Now, let us see how much of a God you truly are Fabio!" Emma focuses all of her mental might into a devastating mental blast that she unleashes upon the unsuspecting Thor. Emma shoots Thor with Psychic Blast. 9 (+1 from the Medic's Hydra TA) atk. vs 16 (+1 from terrain) def. Needs a 7. Roll is: (3,1) for a 4 and a total miss. Fortunately, Black Cat is around so with a little jinx in Thor's general direction she allows Emma to try again. Black Cat PC's Emma's attack. Second roll is: (1,6) for a 7 and just barely a hit! Thor takes 2 straight through invulnerability!

Thanks to the supporting fire of the Medic and Black Cat's jinx Thor is distracted for just long enough for Emma's mental assault to slip through his guards, dropping the Prince of Asgard to his knees clutching his head in his hands.

4) "Excellent my pets!" Emma smiles, "and now, some protection from the inevitable retribution would be appreciated" Black Cat immediately leaps at her Queen's beck and call, jumping to J9.

Logan, Sue and Toad clear and Black Cat will use her PC on the first successful attack she might see.

Slight problem with your turn I'm afraid Stepper. You can't destroy a wall in an adjacent square with a close-combat attack.

From page 32 of the LoSH rulebook:

"Destroying Walls
A close combat attack may be used to
target and destroy a wall along the edge
of the square the character occupies"

Yeah, that was pretty much my exact reaction the first time I learned about that particular rule too...

I don't think there's any way to make Emma or Elektra's attacks on Toad legal, so I guess you'll just have to re-do the turn from scratch.

Now I feel bad, CT Elektra finally gets a chance to use her RCE and I take it away from her on a silly technicality

4) "Good thing I brought my tool-kit and those stolen SHIELD schematics!" The medic grins to herself as she goes to work on the Mandroid. 8 atk. vs 14 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (6,3) for a 9 and a hit. Support roll doesn't matter as it only needs 1. The Mandroid heals a click and the Medic gets the tractor beam up and running again.

Logan, Sue and Toad clears and Black Cat will PC the first succesful attack she might see.
