I could see investing this feat in a piece like Arclight. Someone around 50 pts that would no be a game-breaker, but I would not use this card on other bigger figures like Hulk or Gorgon.

Besides knocking people off rooftops, it could break up some LAMP teams depending on the angle, but like it has been said before, it would be very hard to pull off.

I haven't read the card but if it causes knockback regardless of wether or not a character WOULD take damage from a standard quake attack then it would be useful for figures who have it late dial and are next to a medic.

However your opponent could see this coming and just base the medic, at which point I'd just shout CAPTAIN UNIVERSE and flip the table.

The power action really nerfs the bowling league idea, but there are plenty of figures to use it on, and plenty of reasons. Need to KB someone into a wall so Armor Wars will ping them? Yay. Gorgon's CCE is outwitted and he's facing a Green Scar in his face about to frag him? Awesome. You want Ultimate Vision [or Terra] to be useful? Well, it can't fix that entirely, but it can help!

Don't get me wrong, the fact that you can't use it to bowl is a large limitation. But for just 8 filler points on a team involving figures that might end up in situations where they need that KB? Toss it on. I know I'll be using it on Gorgon and Abosorbing Man in the near future.

On the positive side (for me), I have to work on the Shockwave week so it's the one prize feat I'm glad I'll be missing.

Yea but forceblast is a power that you pay nothing extra for, this feat is 8 points so you are paying for something that is making an already mediocre power that much less useable, and it's 8 POINTS. I might see it as a "filler for points" if it was 3 points, but not 8 not even close to 8. If you fill out your 8 points with this feat it makes no sense with all the other options there are.

I thought of one circumstance that it could MAYBE be useful for. TK someone like Arclight behind enemylines, use her Quake with the 4 square FB to blast someone benefiting from some kind of adjacency (sinister sindicate, defenders, etc) And blast someone who arc light can't damage due to impervious/inv forward for an onslaught.

SO a formation like this..
X= open Square
O= Opponent
A= Arclight

XAX
OOO

becomes:
XXXAXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
XXXXXXX
OXXOXXO

Hence making center circle lose his adjacency purposes while possibly setting them up for some major hurting from the rest of the team..

thats what i was thinking. just quake that person with imperv/invun/ toward your team and have your team blast them. if rampaging hulk does it it's perfect cause knocking someone 4 away will definetly get them off stealth in the great arena.

How do you Break Shockwave?

It's really easy. If you crease the card in half, then bend it back the other way....keep doing it over and over and the card will eventually break in half. It's only fun when there is a completist in the room though.

Absolutely useless.

This Feat should have allowed you to use your full unmodified damage value during a Quake, with KB equal to the result after damage reducers, if any.

Some would have considered it broken that way, and it would definitely cost more, but it would not be the useless junk we got instead.

Of course if it actually did something useful then GD would think you should take 2 unavoidable damage for using it.

Was it atleast fun? I tried it with an extra Large Object feat, but the effect wasn't quite what I imagined.
