I was shocked. I actually enjoyed Countdown this week and it made me want to read it next week!
"When the going gets weird, the weird go pro." - Hunter S. Thompson"
"Victim? Victim? Do you think this letter on my chest stands for AMERICA?" - you have been getting insulted by nextwave.
Isn't SP looking for Earth-Prime? Our Earth, the one without heroes because Ultra left (He was the "Superman" from our Earth. When he left it created a void or something so that no super heroes or villians would exist on our Earth.)

But that Earth was destroyed in the COIE. There was also an analog version mentioned first during the Zero Hour event, where that Superboy was like Prime, and he fought Clone-boy Connor. Later, Connor went thru Hyper-time and landed, at one point, on that version of Earth. That's also how Connor found out that Supes is Clark Kent.
Superman/Batman #45 - I enjoyed this one well enough, though I'll guess there will be some ire raised about Aquaman's portrayal. I don't know how he should be presented at this point, and he doesn't have a current series now, so I suppose characterization is up for grabs. So I'll be interested to hear what other people think.
I actually liked his take on how not everyone wants Superman to 'save the day' all the time (and I like Superman).
I enjoy this series, if for no other reason, I can read Batman and Superman in one comic, without having to follow a zillion other titles.
"Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad,
He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad
He's a real cad, Un-fun Dad"
Teen Titans #55 - Rated 6 - Why is Ravager being sucha witch to Devil? Maybe she really likes him? And we see that Megan has her evil future selfs psyche stuck in her brain. Also Supergirl leaves the team? Can we PLEASE get a core team? Also lookslike the Robin/Cassie thing isn't happening AGAIN. And she may have left the team as well. It seems for every step forward this book takes it takes 2 steps back.
I agree, the team needs to settle down and get a core group. The Robin/Wonder Girl thing is played out. I really like Cassie but I've had enough of her moping around about Conner's death. It's the only thing she seems to do in any of her appearances in any title she's in and it's just getting tedious to read about. And I'm definetly disappointed that Supergirl was only on the team for about 5 issues. I was really excited that she was joining up and then this month, boom she's gone already. I hope this book settles down soon.
As for the rest of DC this week, I really enjoyed Gotham Underground, which is turning out to be a really fun series, and Superman/Batman had a thoughtful issue that had some great interplay in it. I hope the current team on that book will stick around. The rotating creative teams on Superman/Batman have been a little hit or miss.
As for Countdown, I'm not feeling it. The book has picked up, but the story still seems really haphazard. I still don't see why Superman-Prime is even part of the story, he feels really shoehorned in.
Legion of Super-Heroes #38 - I'm not feeling it yet for the Shooter run. I don't like the Legion as a bunch of wartime killers, and I've had enough of the 31st century "buried in bureaucracy" bit. I'm hoping he hooks me soon. I had such high hopes.
Countdown to Mystery #5 - Bruce Gordon tries to figure out how his new relationship with Eclipso works, while the Eclipsed heroes work at getting their master more power. Nelson meanwhile deals with the aftermath of his drinking binge and the guilt causing Inza's death. He immerses himself in her comic creation and tries to get himself grounded. I'm digging the new fate and am excited to see where it goes.

QFT. The series needs to add some more humor to it, too. I loved when Lightning Lad put up his hand during the Legion tryouts....we need more of that stuff. He needs to ditch the leadership role soon, so he can go back to his wisecracking ways.
Wonder Woman #16 - Rated 9 - Wonder Woman and her Gorilla allies attack the nazis on Paradise Island,
You know... we should all have Gorilla allies. I'm surprised the nazi's didn't bring their own Gorilla guys (I forgot their name).
Still, if you had a group of Gorilla allies, you could walk into any convention Joephisto's at, go up to him, smack him upside that fat head of his, and no one will bother you. Why? cause, you got yourself gorilla allies.

Doctor Thirteen had a Nazi turned Vampire gorilla.
I actually think the gorillas should be played up, thinking along the lines of the TMNT's in April's apartment.
"When they come to take control every Ogre must play his role"
Doctor Thirteen had a Nazi turned Vampire gorilla.
Yeah, that was in Doc's recent appearance. That gorilla was one of several in that book, tho I think they were all killed off cept that one. They're known as "The Primate Patrol".
Dr. Thirteen unites with other characters from canceled series, including Genius Jones, I...Vampire, Anthro, the Primate Patrol, Infectious Lass, and the Haunted Tank and then Dr. Thirteen's group fights the Architects, the four writers who were heavily involved in the direction of the DC Universe titles — Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid — to convince them to include them in the new Universe.
