Of course! Marvel's most generic comic ever. I loved that thing, actually...

What? Kickers, Inc. ruled. I don't understand what you people have against super-powered football players. And don't be dissin' Easy Reader, man.

Anyway, the worst comic run that I can think of lately would have to be the beginning run of the newest incarnation of Punisher: War Journal by Matt Fraction.
Maybe it's because I've been so spoiled by Ennis's long-azs run of greatness, but man, Mr. Fraction sure knows how to ruin a character. I'd be shocked if he'd ever read a Punisher comic before they gave him the assignment.
Exhibit A) Punisher suddenly decides to whack super-villains. Despite the fact that his vendetta has always been against the mob for killing his family, he decides, one day, that Stilt-Man must die. Stilt-Man. I defy you to find a more loveable villain.
Exhibit B) Punisher decides that killing Stilt-Man wasn't enough, and that he must now go to a bar and target other such high-tier villains as the Masked Marauder, the Gibbon, and the Ringer (hmm...could have sworn Scourge already did kill the Ringer in a bar once...).
Exhibit C) His lust for mort-blood not yet sated, now hip-deep in the super-hero Civil War, Punisher then decides to kill Plunderer and Goldbug amidst a veritable legion of super-heroes, his "personal hero" Captain America being one of them. To make matters worse, when he kills them for a 2nd time in his own book, the two are wearing their old, completely different costumes. What, were the first ones LMD's Cap had brought in to test Frank? And if so, what was he thinking, trying it a 2nd time?
Exhibit D) Punisher decides to dress up like the late Captain America. Um...what?
Exhibit E) Agh...the scripting in the book is horrible...the characters are boring....I could go on and on. G.W. Bridge is now a completely different character. At one point Punisher blurts out a cuss word at the new Hatemonger (who's killing Mexicans for some reason). When asked by Hatemonger, "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?", Frank replies, "No, but I ****** your mom with it last night". Now...this isn't the Punisher we all know and love.
That's a strong accusation considering One More Day is out there. Could I convince you to maybe give us the plot?
i found a review when I googled "Superman fights hitler twins" in order to find it again.

Some things are painful. Having a tooth extracted, being beaten by a steel bar, or introducing your genitals to a cheesegrater. But even Mr Cheesegrater is preferable to the abortion of a comic I am about to show you. The year is 1995, and someone at DC comics gets really drugged up and decides to write a very very bad story about an old Superman in a post-apocalyptic world fighting evil Hitler twins with gigantic guns. Which would be fine if the thing wasn't so serious.
it's literally so terrible that I can't sum up all of it in one go. It's a comic that needs to be experienced, just so that everyone else in the world can lose an hour of their life to it like I did.
Geez, there are too many issues drawn by Rob Liefeld for me to come up with a short list - but the JMS Spider-Man issues which reveal that Gwen Stacy did the nasty with Norman Osborn is very close to the top of the trash heap for me.

I'm trying to compile a list of the worst comic book arcs ever. So far, ranking high on my personal list, is:
Spider-Man: One More Day
Nightwing: Brothers in Blood
Punisher: Purgatory
Batman: Hush Returns
Spider-Man: Sins Past
Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again
I figured this was as good a place as any to ask what others think. So, in a completely opinion based way, what do YOU, personally, think were the worst comic book storylines/arcs ever?
Wait...what was wrong with the Dark Knight Strikes Again?
As for my worst arc in comics?I was an Avengers fan from way back,so when Doctor druid took over the team(around issue 280) was when it hit an all time low.The book never recovered from that until it was revamped twice. The second time with Perez is what brought it back to life.
I have to throw Ultimates 3 under the bus. I understand new writer = new view point but this is 180 degrees from the the first 2. I just thank God it is only 5 issues long.
Wait...what was wrong with the Dark Knight Strikes Again?
For starters look at Dark Knight Returns. It was a brilliant book. Well written and dark with classic images of Batman's rebirth while staying true with the legacy of his life.
Now look at Dark Knight Strikes Again. It's art jumps all over the place with one dimensional characters. Joker, in Returns, had deep reasoning around him for why he played the role he did. Luthor, in Strikes Again, is a one dimensional bad guy for the sake of being a bad guy. And then there's all the pointless scenes. Did anyone really want to see Superman and Wonder Woman do it for five pages? Five whole pages? With nothing adding to the plot. And then there's Supergirl who, in an attempt to make it seem "edgy," asks Superman about sex. And then Dick Grayson is a morphing, psycho killer for what given reason? Because Batman didn't like him? What the hell is that! The Thanagarians are just thrown in at the last minute as a plot devise. And finally, well actually I could keep going but I've got classes to get to, there's the ending. Green Lantern comes in and saves everyone from nuclear destruction. Yup, this book should've been called "Green Lantern: The Only Real Hero That Matters," because that's the message.
In Returns you see a man without powers overcome amazing odds to be a hero. His only allies are other's without powers, like Ollie and Robin.
In Strikes Again you see a man who relies completely on the powers of others and doesn't do much other then drop his former ward into a volcano.
IAs for my nomination, I'll just nominate every superhero comic with Judd Winick's name on it. The man's a hack. Barry Ween's decent, but slap a cape on the character and watch everything turn to trash.
The problem with Winick is that for a while he was a one-trick pony (the Batman Annual was surprisingly good, and gave us an interesting resurrection story, as outlandish as it was. he was dealing with science fiction and the extra-ordinary). His friend Pedro died of AIDS, and he wants to raise awareness. We got, and we got it.
But I digress. I'm gonna have to go with New X-Men: Academy X, The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (only because the writers were terrible), Ultimate X-Men (was good, but then went on a decline), All Access (yes, there was too), Nightwing OYL by Bruce Jones, and anything by Chuck Austen (seriously, does the man even work in comics anymore?).
"Ring...Sling!" - Green Lantern, Justice League of America #3
I actually wouldn't say DKSA was so much 'bad' as it was 'disappointing.' A lot of people wondered if Frank Miller was pulling a huge prank on his fans by writing something so awful and billing it as a sequel to DKR. And let's not even go into the art.
That being said, there are some cool lines and parts to it. Captain Marvel's death, the Bat-family taking on Superman, Batman's final conversation with Joker/Robin. So I wouldn't say it's quite the worst.
My vote would probably be New X-men. I just found it not very enjoyable, and though Cassandra Nova was cool, being the resurrected twin of Xavier was a stretch.
