For me personally it's Wonder Woman (since Gail has taken over). I know it's only been a few comics with her so far, but they all have been amazing. I really like the Wonder Woman character (as you can tell from my Amazon Keyword teamthat was the keyword team of the week last week ). Having it have this good of writing makes me very very happy.

My favorite book, without hesitation, is Justice Society of America. This multi-generational series takes the strongest elements of the Golden Age- the colorful heroic ethic, an overarching sense of noblesse oblige, the cornerstones of loyalty and fellowship- and uses them as the cornerstone of the modern incarnation of the first superhero team. The modern trappings of the superhero genre are all here, too, the angst, melodrama, and rich characterization, personified in the legacy incarnations of classic characters. Fighting side-by-side, original Green Lantern, legendary and puissant, and the new Hourman, brash and journeyman, each bringing a drastically different perspective and understanding of what makes a hero. The sum of two disparate generations of hero- one a merry adventurer of the nascent days of the genre, the other born of the grim-and-gritty Machiavellianism- would seem likely to be chaos. Yet, the overriding drive to serve the larger good of justice, and here we mean justice as the moral principle determining just conduct, not the Biblical eye-for-an-eye interpretation, conflates the old and new, making for stories that are very contemporary and classic at the same time.
JSA and you saved me a lot of typing.
Oh and as much as I enjoyed the old Green Arrow series the GA/BC series has been pretty close to terrible.
There have been other writers at DC who have tried to recapture the glory days of the JLI, well mostly, just the relationship and comradarie of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Johns has done this. it's an awesome light-hearted adventure with great storytelling that has yet to frustrate or bore me. seeing Jonah Hex and then Sinestro and Barry allen within 5 issues of each other was awesome, and i hope the series continues this tone and the pacing it has shown thusfar.

I totally agree here. I also LOVE GLC. It feels like a really good cop drama, and Sinestro Corps was just plain incredible. First time in awhile, i got shivers up my spine (when the rings started saying "Lethal Force approved"). Just made me go "Holy CRUD!".
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing

I hate Winick's pacing, plotting and his need for ACTION CLIFFHANGERS(!!!) to tell his stories. On the other hand, he writes truly amazing character moments. The scenes that Ollie has had talking to Dinah, Mia, Hal, Roy and Connor have been superb. The cameo moments with Superman and Batman have been perfectly spot on. The lackluster superhero action really detracts from the great characterization in this book.
JSA doesn't appeal to me personally, as it is too mired in history in continuity.
Green Lantern is amazing, but really dropped after the Sinestro Corps War. They needed something good to follow that, and the Alpha Lanterns stuff didn't work for me.
HeroClix needs more Goblin.
Acceptable in such forms as Green, Grey, Demo, Hob, Ultimate, and "Menace."
This title ran a close second for me. Excellent choice!

Thanks. I agree with about the GA/BC series, but I look at this way- a poor GA series is way better than no GA at all!

Anyone else notice how many of these "favorites" are being written by Johns? JSA, Booster Gold and Green Lantern. I hope DC gave that guy a raise.
A raise and chained to a computer so he keeps writing!
I had a funny encounter with Johns a while back. I sold him a Batgirl mini bust (the DC Direct Silver Age one from a few years ago) on eBay. Curious if the winner of the auction, a Geoff Johns from California, was the Geoff Johns of comic fame, I emailed him, under the pretense of verifying his address for shipment. He said he was, and that he wanted the bust for his desk as he wrote a new book called All-Star Batgirl. I just about fell out of my seat! Alas, the series seems to be on hold, but Johns has the Batgirl mini from my old comic shop on his desk. That transaction made me King Geek for a few days around our way.

I'm looking forward to The Rogues Mini coming out after Salvation Run. I can only hope Geoff Johns can fix them again.
To quote "Yahtzee", "They couldn't of missed the point more, if they fired in the wrong direction and the point was in another country all together."
Ugh, Bart Allen died over a crappy writer.
Hear hear!
Johns' run on the Flash was very good imo. He made me really like Captain Cold and Mirror Master and created Zoom who is one of my favorite characters (too bad he jobbed over in JSA. At least you could chalk it up to his suicidal need to better slowpokes like Damage).
The run with Bart (I reread all of Young Justice over the past few weeks ) and Countdown have done a lot to undermine the Rogues in general. They haven't done anything awesome since Infinite Crisis.
But I digress. I'm enjoying JSA more than anything else I'm reading on the DC side. I'll probably start picking up GL and especially Booster Gold because of this thread.
