Sounds like you've got it now. At any point during your turn, you may choose to give one of your characters the stats and powers of one of the 4 Heroes showing. As long as that Hero is still showing, they keep those powers.
At the end of your turn you roll two dice. Only if the result is a 2-5 do we turn the dial that many clicks. I imagine that since the wording is "during your turn" you'd have to choose a hero before rolling to see if it changes, so you can't wait until after you roll to see if someone better comes up.
So right now for example, you could give someone the power of the Moth, giving them the damage capability to blow a hole in the wall, making the rest of your turn possible. Not that you probably don't have someone with 3 damage anyway somewhere.
So actually the power I'd be eligible for is Futura's since I can't roll for the H for H until the end of the game so I could only use the existing power, Futura's.
To make life simple Sophie destroys the wall at O20/21 (using the natural perplex given when the girls are next to each other). Rest of the turn remains.

There are 4 Heroes to choose from at any given time. On click 8, where I set it at the outset, the four colors on the dial are purple, dark blue, brown and light blue, corresponding to the Moth, Ragnarok, Futura and Ferronaut. You could choose any of these 4. So Futura is one option, yes, but you've got three others too.
"I'll crush you like a bug!" Despero said. "Wait. You are a bug. Well, that just makes it easier."
"Gulp!" said Mr. Mind.
"Atom?" Super-Nova asked.
"Feeling...odd," Atom confessed. Then he realized he seemed to be covered in a layer of iron. "Wow! I feel...strong!" he said, then he leapt off to confront the Cuckoos.
Actually, a 6 doesn't move the dial at all. Only a roll of 2-5.
Now that I've had a chance to look at the map, with Despero's new positioning, only the Leader's attack is valid. Emma's much too far away and Cassandra's got all those people in front of her blocking her LOF. And even without them her angle's all wrong. Any LOF from her to O20 will cut through the wall.
Destroy J20, moves Despero to J20? Okay, then I'll grant you the Leader and Cassandra's attack. But while Despero would now be in Emma's range, she'd be shooting through a solid wall of Cassandra, Jean and Xavier. Unless you want to push Jean to TK her to the other side.
Sorry to bog the game down, but obviously if you're doing that much damage to my Despero, I kind of want to be sure it's valid!
My bad, I'm seeing this as elevated. I wouldn't have pushed Jean, however I wouldn't used Emma's perplex to boost Cassandra's damage to 3. So Despero takes 3, no move for Emma.
