And that's what made the pog of that blind girl (Alicia.... I can't remember her name) so awesome with the F4 ATA... she had like a 14 DV that she could share with any other F4 member or WC on the board.... certainly made support rolls MUCH easier

I can't access the thread from work, but JSA/Defend/Defenders have worked with Support (because it's a replacement value) for quite a while. The script hasn't changed on either Support or the DV replacements since that ruling, so it still works.

Thorin oakenshield, check the wording of Support and the Justice Society team ability:

The Justice Society TA is triggered by an attack roll, not necessarily by an attack.
How about defend and the hive mind ability of cuckoos? The hive mind ability works until the end of the round so can you use defend and then increase your defense by three to say 22 with jakeem thunder?
