Ummmmm. I was wondering how you ranked the teams 9-32. I have to assume randomly, because I beat mike (great game Mike) who is ranked 9th and my team is ranked 23rd. Just curious. I did loose to Cody in the second round and he finished 4th. What a great time. I really hope I can give my Avengers another shot next year.
No surprise to see the LOSH + Alfred and/or Lois Lanes combo, just surprised at the number!
These teams are a lot more interesting than the "Choose one of either V Black Adam, KC Flash or KC Lantern" identikit teams that were floating around yesteryear.

I did not get to play in the second round. it looked like someone dropped and I was the odd man out and got the bye. so if the bye was 300 pts then everyone under me did not get past 300 in the first two rounds.

The first 2 rounds are considered swiss. So points rank EVERYONE, except getting into the top 8. Then starting at top 8 it goes by points.
If I were to use myself as an example. I won until the top 4. Then me and one other person lost. Techincally we are both tied for 3/4 th place. HOWEVER, then points factor in.
In your case, you and Mike were both 1 and 1, but mike had WAY more points then you. The first 2 rounds are again judged as swiss and not single elmination. Top 8 is judged as single elmination.

My math may be off, but:
Protected feats in the top eight - 14
Protected feats in nine to thirty-two - 23
That jumped out at me for some reason.
Very interesting. A goodly amount of Warbound squads, also. It also seems like at least 1/3rd of the teams were in a "last chance to see" scenario, because they do not fit with the coming 10% feat rule.
This is not a dig at any of the top 32, congrats to all who played and placed. If anything, I am tossing salt at WK for allowing 2 of the most powerful feats (Protected and Warbound) to only be legal and/or available for play through tournament LE prizes or spending oodles of cash on eBay, but also offering a commendation to WK for realizing that Boxing-Up needed to have some kind of mediating guidelines.
Honestly though, if we see a reprint of Armor Piercing as a SI tourney LE, I'm gonna scream.

I appreciate your respose, but could you explain how Mike had way more points. I'm just curious. I took all of his pieces (Nearly 300 Pts) and I knocked out 2 bronze tigers in round two. Mike was unable to take a single piece form our game. I guess Im just not understanding?
Good article. Sweet looking teams. Can't wait for WWC.
As far as the points goes I'd probaby guess that it includes points that were won in the sealed qualifer as well. Just speculating, but that would make sense. He probably just ended up winning more points somewhere along the way that you didn't know he won during different rounds of the tourney

Out of curiosity, are you 100% certain that point totals were reported on the correct lines?
There were a few instances where the players had transposed the point totals and submitted the results incorrectly.
IE, Player A scored 300 points and a win, while Player B scored 150 points and a loss. On the slips which were given to the judges, these values would be reversed...and initialed as correct by both players.
I dont know if anyone will agree with me here, but I dont like that these are listed, too many people look at this list and then run home and build the team and take it to their venue, it kinda ruins the team building aspect for those people who are willing to grab a pre-made team and run with it.

@snarfery, there is no way to absolutely prevent "net decking" but if someone does not know how to play the team correctly, make incorrect tactical decisions &/or miss dice rolls, they will not achieve the same results as the players @ WWE. For example, look @ BillsDooms' team (Hi, BillsDoom! Remember me?) & look @ the winning team. Same team, different results.
I've told my players about some of the top tier teams (e.g. LAMP, KC Flash tentpole) AND no one @ my Venue has ever tried to "net-deck" because they prefer to build their own teams.
Also as others have pointed out, some of these will NOT be legal after July 9th when the FF rules become the current rules set.

How did Mike do in his other game? Did his opponent play Alpha Strike &/or Vendetta? That's what you're not looking at.

As the only person to play them both, I can verify that there was a difference in play style and dice rolling that contributed to the outcome. I was lucky in both games to win the die roll, despite the +4 they got to map roll. Picked "Great Arena" map, the map I brought specifically for anti-SIF, in both and it is the only reason I had a chance.
