Either a completely new, and something different from 616, Ultimate team.

Like Cap, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Nightcrawler, Black Cat, Sue and Johnny.

The thing about Ultimates is that volume four was announced a while back with Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness working on it. If Marvel is just calling that something else and "canceling" the title, then that may be one of the most lackluster reveal I've seen in a long while.

That has potential! Still, it's probably just some sort of relaunch of Ultimates.

I remember when they first talked about "ultimatum" that they said teams will be affected like never before. So this leaves alot open. I think that Ultimates AND F4 will be affected. I could have sworn they said that the first family team will change big time.....which is possible with Sue still not forgiving reed currently. Some good guys will become bad and some bad will become good. I remember this being the gist when they first talked about it.

Here's a thought introduce The New Ultimate Fantastic Four with Ultimate Hulk, Ultimate Woverine, Ultimate Spiderman, and Ultimate Ghostrider, this way they can cancel the current UFF. The original Ultimate Fantastic Four would make cameos to explain I.E. what the past members are doing now.

Huh - I like Stuart and think his work is as good as Bagley's.

I think Bagley held a special place in a lot of folks' hearts, because he started the book w/ Bendis... Mark also has a style all his own.

I wonder though...maybe there is some truth to the "supposed axing". Maybe we'll get an Ult Avengers #1 within the next year... Who knows with Joey Q...

I also like Stu's work...I have since his Legionnaires stuff, and his style was also well suited for Next Wave I thought.

Bagley earns a ton of credit for being so fast and so constant! Without him, I doubt Bendis would have kept on schedule.

After reading what has happened so far in Ultimates 3, I could really care less if it got cancelled.

The following 3 books are in the order of how much I could care less if they got cancelled:

Ultimate Fantastic Four
Ultimate X-Men
Ultimate Spider-Man

I am the ONLY person that can't stand ult. Spider-Man? I tried - I really did - I had the TPBs up to vol. 12? 14? Up there. I just got really tired of action in one story, angst in the next, repeat ad nauseum.

I like the Ultimates 1 & 2 (I only collect the TPBs, so I can't say anything about Ult. 3). I always thought that the Ultimates WERE the Avengers - IM, Hulk, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Quicksilver, etc.

I could possibly see an Ult. Defenders coming out - NOT using the team that was in the Ultimates - Dr. Strange, Beast, Thing, etc.

How does Loeb keep getting work?! Between Ultimates 3 and his Hulk series, I don't know which is worse. Well ... maybe Hulk. The most recent issue may have assured it.

Different from 616? with four former 616 Avengers? Not THAT different

I really hope Ultimate Fantastic Four sticks around, I've been enjoying the title since issue 1. I'm also a big fan of Mike Carey and he seems to do a lot of writing for the book. Ultimates barely comes out as it is, I wouldn't mind it being canceled and turned into something more consistent.

...Something more consistent still featuring Thor.
