Have to agree that parts of the latest Invaders/Avengers was a bit of a head scratcher.
How would Namor remember it all, but the soldier does not? This is shoe-horned in between Skrull-ectra and Secret Invasion? Wasn't that supposed to happen in a matter of days (skrull-ectra to invasion)? The last panel was also EXTREMELY heavy handed, and reflects VERY poorly on Alex Ross, who is supposed to love the old school characters.
Thanks for selling out on the Bucky is Cap line Ross.....

He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Hatut Zeraze again.
Sorry about that.

Rep'd you for that...
Just don't try to use your suicide ring. Also known as your wedding ring, which, if you ever take off, will cause your wife to kill you, thus, it's a "suicide ring".

Well, you have to remember, Namor suffers from some severe memory problems. When he was made to forget his past and turned into a derelict years ago by "Destiny" (the guy with the disguised Serpent Crown on his head). Then again, back in the 90's, his memory was once again erased in a way. He has been shown to often times forget some things. He even forgot who Cap was when he saw Cap frozen in a block of ice and then hurled that "false idol" into the ocean.
As for the soldier not remembering, could be old age or could be the timeline shifted, causing an alternate reality, so it's not really the exact same guy. Or, when the Invaders go back to their own timeline, they will be made to forget somehow? It would explain why, after all these years, Cap never remembered a thing about all of this, even up to his death.
I loved this issue too. Not much action, but lots of threads to look forward to seeing pulled. And since Danny has long been a favourite character of mine, I'm really happy that this series is getting into the history of the Iron Fist and K'Un-Lun and all the martial arts stuff, instead of presenting him as another superhero who fights guys like Stilt-Man.
I agree with your assessment about the merits of the Iron Fist series, but I am worried after seeing the previews of the new artist. He seems to be leaning more towards a more traditional super hero approach to the costume and look of the character.

Reason: Cleaning up my grammar. Got to stop posting while at work.
Agreed - I have concerns over the new Iron Fist artist as well. I LOVED Aja for that book. It needs a grittier style... the over-the-top '90's look that was previewed for the next issue did NOT sit well with me at all.

Which doesn't explain then how Namor remembers everything.

UM... wonky reverse amnisia that allows you to remember things that you shuold have forgoten brought on by too much blowfish sushi that sat out in the sun too long...
Punisher War Journal #21 - Last time we were left with Lady Gorgon making Frank an offer to die and join The Hand. Preoccupied with thoughts of maybe actually taking Jigsaw out the next time he sees him; Gorgon and her agents make up Punisher's mind for him and try to take him out but are interrupted by the BBB (Bridge's Boob Brigade) in the form of Silver Sable, Domino, and the real or Skrull Contessa. Who helps save his butt with Frank slipping away on the subway only to run into the fake Punisher who easily gets the upper hand on our weakened hero but gets saved and arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
I love Spidey more than any other comic, but it really stinks to high heaven right now.......I am hopeful with Kraven;s first hunt being up next.....all the new villians since BND are hot garbage, and so is Joey Q for feeding me this mess

Not arguing at all. I've never dropped ASM in the entire time I've been reading comics, but if they don't get Bob Gale off this book, or if I'm not happy by the end of Slott's upcoming "New Ways to Die" story, where Spidey fights the T-bolts and Mr. Negative and Venom get together and make Anti-Venom (okay... reading that back, it sounds kinda wrong), I think I'll have to drop the book and save my wallet the $4 a week.
HeroClix needs more Goblin.
Acceptable in such forms as Green, Grey, Demo, Hob, Ultimate, and "Menace."
I really enjoyed Astonishing X Men this week. Great to finally see Storm back on an X team and her dialogue with Emma was great. Not sure how the story is going to pan out but looking forward to it.
Desperately wanting M&M SR Storm. Anyone got a spare?
