When the shared keyword is not a generic keyword, your force must
include at least one character (excluding bystander tokens) for each 150
points (or fraction thereof) of the game’s build total to be a themed
team.
No minimum of 3 characters needed for non-generic keywords.

Thanks for the back-up; that was one of the changes I believed had come down when they came up with the generic/non-generic keyword distinctions.
I went to open the rulebook and ran into yet another example of how I dislike Adobe Acrobat's use when I'm online. It's a 50:50 shot that everything ends up locking up and I have to re-start... which is what happened this time.

No, the two make a valid Defenders theme team at 149 & 150. It's one character for every 150 points for non-generic keyword.
It's going to make it difficult to keep someone free of tokens to allow him to use the theme-granted PC, but it's doable and one of those possible sealed combinations that came to mind once we saw Namor. It may not win, but if I pulled it I'd be very tempted to play it.
Ah, from the Defenders keyword. Like I said, I couldn't see them (nor the costs) from work. Thanks for the backup!
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

The benefit would be the BFC cancel and map choice (outside of the Marquee events that seem to take away map choice).
The theme prob could be useful, but you are going to almost have to throw the token on Namor. Between Perplex and Outwit its almost going to be impossible to have Strange free to take the token as odds are you will have used either of his free actions before the dice roll.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

Eh? Am I misunderstanding what you mean here? I'm sure you can take as many free actions as you want each turn. (Though most powers will state that you can only use that power once a turn.)

A character or force can be given any number of free actions on a turn but only as game effects allow. A free action can be used to perform a close combat action, ranged combat action, move action, or power action; in each case, the description of the free action will indicate what other type of action can be used.

You can, but Tyroclix meant that, if Strange uses a free action (such as Perplex or Outwit), he won't be able to use the theme PC afterwards (since a character that has taken an action - free or not - can't use theme PC in the same turn).

(and, for the record, PC isn't an action, not even a free one)

I really should have realised that was what he meant.
I'm evidently far to excited about the Doctor Who finale tonight to bother thinking about anything else...
Ha! See what your independence got you?!? No new Doctor Who, thats what!!!
(I'll keep my lips zipped. Apart from behind spoiler tags in the TV discusion section...)
I blame the Sci-Fi Channel more than the holiday; they do this on any holiday weekend, opting to run a marathon (in this case it was Twilight Zone) and then go into running made-for-video movies back to back. Apparently the idea of showing anything new on a holiday weekend is considered a bad thing by them.
These seasons go so quickly, though; I'd lost sight of this one coming to a close so soon!
