"Bad dog!" shouts Gargoyle. "Bad! Go on, get out of here!" Issac swings a large stone in a wide arc, intending to lure Lockjaw away with an oversized game of fetch. His balance somewhat lacking, he accidentally clobbers the poor mutt. "Sorry, boy!"

Hulk sees Karnak taking the fight to Warren. "Little man hurt bird-man! Bird-man Hulk's friend! Raghhh!" Hulk's furious rampage is set to cause serious damage to the Inhumans, if not for the quick actions of the faithful Lockjaw, who teleports himself into the path of all of Hulk's blows to protect his masters.

Warren, surprised by the sudden ruffling of his wings from behind, spins and throws a punch. So shocked is he to see Nightcrawler there that his strike loses all momentum. "What's going on here?"

"It seems, Defenders, that these individuals are, in fact, overtly hostile. Maybe they're impostors, but we can sort that out later. Press the attack!"

Gargoyle follows his words with deeds, laying a shoulder ram into the massive form of Lockjaw. Neither comes out of the resulting tumble unscathed, but Lockjaw is clearly the worse for wear.

Valkyrie, seeing the hound's attention distracted, slips past Gargoyle and lays into Karnak with Dragonfang's cold steel. The attack barely strikes the Inhuman, but the magical powers of the blade cause even the most glancing of blows to cut deep. Karnak's body armor deflects the powerful slash only slightly.

Gargoyle's taloned hand snakes out and grabs Valkyrie's cape. He pulls her unceremoniously back, and Karnak's roundhouse kick whizzes past the bridge of her nose. A quick shove sends the Asgardian back into the fight. Using the momentum, Valkyrie delivers a body slam to the Inhuman and sends him to the turf.

Turning his attention back to Nightcrawler, Issac raises a craggy brow. "What is this? We have a gargoyle, an angel, a devil, and a not-so-jolly green giant. Ever feel trapped in a storybook?" As he delivers his rhetorical question, he also rakes Kurt with his talons with a blinding speed that even the teleporter can't dodge.

Hulk's eyes narrow, and he glares at Crystal. She has been avoiding all his attacks, and that makes the Hulk angry. His big green fists lash out again, and once again, Crystal is ready. She ducks easily under the wild punch. But Gargoyle buffets his wings hard enough to pitch even the mighty Hulk forward a bit, turning his wild punch into an overhand blow that comes down squarely on the Inhuman. Crystal protects herself as best she can with a shield of wind and earth, but the Hulk's fists are not easy to deflect.

Hulk spits out the mouthful of dirt and gravel that just got blasted into his face. "Puny lady hurt Hulk, blind Hulk. Now Hulk blind puny lady." His massive green grip closes around Crystal's head...

Valkyrie charges past the Hulk, tapping his arm to convince him to let go. She then steps up to Tessa, fixing her with an icy gaze. "There is much to be said for cutting enemy support avenue. I suspect that is you! For Asgard!" Tessa, outclassed by the Asgardian warrior, cannot dodge a powerful backfist that staggers her.

Meanwhile, Gargoyle rakes his talons at Nightcrawler yet again, but the wily elf hops out of the way with an ease that infuriates Issac.
