Interesting story so far.
The Spoiler thing bugs me to no end though.
I wonder how Batman will rest in peace exactly.
Frankly, I'm happier with the idea of Spoiler faking her death over the idea that a trusted Batman ally would have allowed a child to die in order to teach Bruce a lesson about putting kids in harm's way.
I read the "Detective Comics" Batman with Hush. I was a good issue. It explains why Hush wears those Bandages. Kinda creepy issue.
Hush wants to destroy Batman himself. He will actually stop other criminals to get at Batman.
I think he may somehow come to the rescue just to knock Batman back down himself.
Hush is reconstructing his face it seems and has a weird hospital running.
Maybe he is going to look like Bruce???? Maybe he''l destroy Batman by being Bruce Wayne???
I'm reading it and I still need help to understand it! Plus I would wonder if DC is really going to change the person behind the mask, talk about a huge gamble. It aint like Steve Rogers where marvel had other guys in the suit from time to time, this is the #1 or #2 most recognized character in mainstream comics, to make a change could be disastrous.
Snarfery!
Experienced OMAC single handed Kills:
U Starman
U Sandman
Liberty Bell
E Dr Midnight
Someone we thought was dead in a comic book isn't dead anymore? I am shocked!

You mean like last time they had someone else as Batman? Or the time before that? (Knightfall and Prodigal, respectively.)

Maybe we are looking at it all wrong.
Batman might die.
Bruce Wayne won't, after all it's not Bruce Wayne R.I.P.
So maybe just the Bat will retire? After everything that takes place, maybe he will just sit back and watch his proteges take care of it for a while. Then in a year or so, maybe he'd jump back into the game!
Just some far-out speculation.
You know he's so much more like Spiderman than you will ever, ever be.
Dini's Detective is only related in the most tangential manner. Detective Comics' Hush storyline is feeling like a pretty great story so far, but skipping it won't interfere an iota in your understanding of RIP. All the same, I recommend it on its own merits.
Regarding RIP, though, I am spending absolutely zero time pondering what will happen in the title after this story is over. I am far too busy just savoring the crazed intensity of the current storyline as it is running.
And for those who thinks that it has taken Grant Morrison too long to explain his story logic, I have this quote from Batman #679:
"It takes slow-vision to see the grids."
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
I'm liking that we still don't know who has the advantage yet. Bruce thinks that he's beaten their trap by constructing the Zur-enh-ahh Batman, but then Hurt thinks he's anticipated this and set the trap at Arkham, but Bruce has anticipated this and is ready for the trap, but Hurt.... you get the idea.
I'm also digging how Hurt keeps up the bogus story about being a deviant Thomas Wayne to Alfred, who obviously knows it's not true. It's almost like Hurt actually believes it himself (making him a great analog to Bruce).
From the info I was told Batman will die and it will be Bruce he will then via a Lazrus Pit become The Demon's Head with the intent on secretly using The League of Assassins to fight Darkseid in the In Blackest Night story line. My thought is they will become the basis for a brand new Demon Lantern Corps. using the recovered yellow powerings. Think about it if they're pumped up on scarecrow's fear gas The League will have an unimaginable power. The League only fears two things Batman and The Demon's Head and now they'll be the same person. Crimals will either join and become servents to the cause or be hunted by them and face a fate worse than death which is NEVER ENDING FEAR.

I don't think there is any chance of this happening.
A. I expect Darkseid to be wrapped up by the end of Crisis. And the Blackest Night storyline has it roots in Sinestro Wars, not Batman.
B. Ra's al Ghul and the league of assassins has had nothing to do with R.I.P. thus far.
C. It seems very dumb. Not that that is a reason for it not to happen, but it is a reason that I hope it doesn't.
