Nick Fury is a Skrull.

Reed will solve world hunger by turning ALL THE INVADING SKRULLS into cows forever.

As the Skrull Invasion is coming to a head, Aunt May realizes that the Marvel Universe is going to hell in a handbasket. So she hits up Mephisto on her BlackBerry and says that she has a proposition... She will give her life in order to restore the Marvel Universe once again. All the Heroes gather to visit Aunt May on her death bed in which the dying words she whispers are "No More Quesada!" At this point EIC Quesada is removed from his position and all is well with the Marvel Universe again.

Wow, there's something new Marvel can do. Finally a plot they haven't used over and over...oh, wait...nevermind.

Yes, they did at one poit state how the Skrulls had fooled so many, including telepaths. It had to do with DNA and some funky hypnosis and slipping some freaking hashish oil into all of the heroes food and water.
The heroes had to be wasted not to of seen this coming. I mean, really, how many times have the Skrulls sent agents to earth disguised as various heroes?

The Sentry comes in from out of nowhere and beats the tar out of all the baddies. Then he has some tea and a snack.

Or...

Wanda goes crazy because of all of the stinkin' Skrulls and re-weaves reality so that none of it ever happened thereby eliminating all of Marvel's continuity ever in just a handful of panels.

I'd actually prefer that second option.

Since everyone else has joked the subject through, I'll take a serious route.

Brian Micheal Bendis stated in an interview that "-[Secret Invasion] would have one hell of an ending." And being a type of "Tune in next week to find out what happens to our heroes!" kind of writer, I think he's going to have something very suprising. But we already kind of know that. My thought on everything, in order:

New Avengers: Maybe add Winter Solider drop one other character, not sure who, but maybe Clint because he opposed Bucky becoming the new Cap'.

Mighty Avengers: Ms. Marvel will be off, because she sucks as a leader and she's probably a skrull, Iron Man will also probably leave too, maybe to focus on running S.H.I.E.L.D. maybe to go to jail because one of his dirty secrets from Civil War came out (?).

Nick Fury/Sercet Warriors: They're supposed to be getting a limited series, I'm not sure if it's set before or after SI, but I don't think Nick will take back over S.H.I.E.L.D., the reason he left was because he was going to go to jail for attacking Latveria in Secret War.

Steve Rogers/Captain America: In one of the "Blog 'o' Joe" posts, Joe Quesada stated that the Steve that died on Capitol Hill was the real Cap', if that's the case, "Skrull Ship Cap" will get killed and exposed as a skrull.

Thor: Kills skrulls, get some street cred back.


Besides that, one other person is going to be exposed as a skrull or will get killed, but I couldn't guess who it is. It'll probably be the big suprise.
