Is the game Engine for Final Fantasy Tactics A2 the same as the one for the GBA? Turn-based, laws depending on the battle, no magic, no specific-weapon? I think i should try this one then...

The GBA version was annoying, especially all the laws that limited tactics in some battles, but hey it was loads of fun. NDS ought to be better.

yea, it's basically the same.problem is, your units are the only ones affected by the laws (although there is no more jail time like in the gba version) and the laws can sometimes get pretty absurd (ex. missing with an action is forbidden..seriously..).

these kinds of games really make me miss the PS1 tactics.

You don't really have top be Ninja class to be able to dual wield right away. Level up a Hume Soldier and get him to the Fighter job class. There's a weapon you can get for that class early in the game so you can dual wield.

Regarding the laws, I hate the one where Knockback and Critical Hits are forbidden. It's not like those are easy to avoid. They just happen. I kinda like the new law system because it ramps up the difficulty level a little. It means I'll be playing this game longer.

hmm..i think you're referring to the fighter's doublehand ability(lets you equip 2-h swords in one hand only).with the ninja's dual wield ability, you can equip both hands with weapons (knives, katanas, 1-h swords, rods), kaya you can make two attacks in one action (think flurry sa clix).it also works with reaction abilities (counter and strikeback).plus with two weapons, you'd be learning abilities twice as fast.

Oh yeah. Hehe. Woops. I've already restarted my file, and while I haven't caught up to where I was the last time, I'm still faced with the same problem: I need another weapon for the Thief that will give me the fourth Action type skill I need to master so I can transform to the Ninja Class.

ninja na un char ko pero hinahanap ko pa ung last ingredient to get the katana na may dual wield skill, and yes tama si marco dula wield is one of the best skills to gear up your char.

if youre looking for the an ingredient para sa dual wield na sword, try stealing loot from the 4 kings.tandaan ko dun ko nakuha yung sa kin eh..or wait for a mission, yung ragetsu-denbu yung reward nya.

actually i advise finishing up quest 10 (mountain watch) and quest 11 (grounded) then hanapin mo ung 2 missions na nag bibigay ng screamroot at ng low arcana then u need a gun gear to get the katana. sa alam ko the quests are: wanted tonberries (dito ung low arcana) at ung wanted florah (dito ung screamroot) ung wanted gilmuto (dito ung gun gear). you just need to finish them (kahit sumablay ka sa law nya ).

so far ung party ko consist of adelle (ninja) cid (gladiator) isang black mage, isang sniper, isang dragoon na ginawa ko munang whit monk at ung bida ko ngayon ninja din (tinatapos ko pa ung dual wield lintek 990 ap!!! )

But those ingredients are for the dual-wield sword, right? What I need right now is the Rondel, any directions on where I can find that dagger?

keep questing and try to acquire law bonuses and try using loot lvl 1 (adelle has this) took me awhile to get the rondel (actually i did not get rondel rather i got a higher level dagger (swordbreaker) which has loot lvl 3 in it and needs 300ap!! (pinawisan ako d2)

same here.malayo na ko bago ko nakuha yung rondell, as well as the jambiya (steal accessories).anyways, if you want a shorter route with learning abilities, hanapin mo yung clan trial na may bonus na clan privilege: ap 3.that will make the AP you gain after every battle x3.
combined with dual wield, ambilis mo malelearn lahat ng skills.

yup totoo yan! hehe lvl 43 na ako ngayon at pahirap na ng pahirap ang laban (parang bale wala ung lvl ko ata haha) so far 3 char ko na ang may dual wield..
