I enjoy all of the idea's of everyone posting ATA's. I will be satisfied as soon as the change IL to Masters of Evil, Teen Titans to X-Men, and Fan 4 to Suicide Squad.
Titans and X-men are already the same.
Check the Player's Guide for confirmation.
You can't really link ATA's to keywords as the characters points are linked to the TAs they have. Replacing a wildcard and replacing an Avenger are not the same point wise, and ATAs have to take that into account.
I think you can because of the fun factor, you just try to generalize and keep things interesting
And it's like...there's all kinds of variables...so just go for it and make it fun
Ace of the Secret Society of Supervillains Clan!
Yellowjacket (Human) - 100 points of P-Y-M-P - Sweet Papa Doom/BPW
Well with that ATA that I created, if they do not have a printed team ability then do not have a team ability to replace. That is why most don't have a cost. I would venture a guess that all Mighty Avengers have a team ability.
--Edited the Thunderbolts to require a team ablity for the cost portion.
All characters possessing the Thunderbolts keyword use this TA ability instead of Avengers or Masters of Evil.
Choose a team leader from your squad. This character gains perplex but may only use it on opposing armies. The targeted character is now the " Main Target" and any Thunderbolt gains a plus on to their attack value against them. The player may choose to change the team leader each round or keep it the same. However, if you change team leader, roll a die 6. 1-3 the old leader keeps the status and the new choice is given an action token. 4-6 the new leader takes over the squad.
Cost 5 pts.
The idea comes from the role the T-Bolts have taken in the initiative story lines. Basically they are hunting down rogue unregistered heroes. So we need the team leader to select a target. One would assume it's Norman telling them who is next on the list. Then you can choose to add the backstabbing and infighting the team is known for with the change option. If you chose to change the leader, then you have the old one rebel a bit. The die roll is the fight to stay in command if the old leader holds on, then the new one is dejected for a turn and takes an action. It reminds me of Norman playing chess with the team, or possibly Songbird and Moonstone's power struggle.
Mighty Avengers:
Any character with the Mighty Avengers keyword and the Avengers TA now gains this ability.
The characters can move without taking an action, and may also spend one action to add a plus one to a friendly characters attack value or defense value at two range.
cost : 5 pts.
The idea behind this ATA is simple. They are still Avengers so they should move as if they possessed the TA. However, they are also protected by s.h.i.e.l.d that's why they can aid each other for an action. The two range is so that they can stay mobile and not have to be adjacent when planning an attack formation.
New Avengers:
Requires Avengers TA and Keyword New Avengers.
Character may move without taking an action token. Player may choose either Stealth or Defend for the game with the option of delegating which team member has the ability.
Cost: 5 pts.
Again, they are Avengers so they shouldn't lose that TA ability. Now the choice to make them stealthy, or able to build up a weaker defense reminds me of the team itself. You have characters that can be sneaky and infiltrate lines and then you have the ones that step in and keep the rest from getting knocked around.
Heroes for Hire
Req: "Heroes for Hire" Keyword.
All characters with "Heroes for Hire" gain the ability to capture bystander tokens by moving adjacent to them. These bystanders are "rescued" and removed from the game. As a result, no points are awarded for them. Heroes for Hire have an additional super senses defense when adjacent to a friendly teammate. When more than one teammate is adjacent, the super senses roll succeeds on a 4-6.
cost: 10 pts.
Not sure about the actual cost on this one, but I like the idea of the odds getting better when surrounded by your team mates on top of possibly two SS rolls for some characters. I figured that was pretty powerful for an ATA so I upped the cost for it compared to my other ATA ideas. The rescue a pog idea just sounds like it would work for the team.
Undead, you may want to reword HfH. Replace the last two sentences with this to recieve the same effect:
"If one or more figures assigned this feat are adjacent and roll to evade an attack with Super Senses, add +1 to the roll."
I believe this will net the same effect and give you the bonus of negating effect like Skrull Kill Krew or others that man come out.
