To add, I'm assuming even Free actions activate the card? Thus E2 Superman could use his LEADING THE ATTACK SP to Lunge/attack a character for free?
That's just gross.
That would work, but he still would need to be adjacent to somebody first. Otherwise he fails the first thing needed: "If Superman is adjacent to an opposing character at the beginning of your turn..."
So, in terms of HSS and Charge attacks it's effectively a +2 to one's Speed. Presumably, for fliers and Giants (the latter with no action tokens on them) Lunge could be used (in a move that includes an appropriate attack move) to negate the -2 to Speed they take from using the Carry ability, correct?
I think the card would make Hawk and Dove more appealing - Lunge, pick up an object, duo attack, Lunge again, pick up another object, Duo attack.
That would work, right?

HA! I fooled you!
It would NOT work, as E2 Superman does not meet the prerequisite for Lunge and have LEADING THE ATTACK at the same time.
Actually, I thought the prereq was Charge and L/C.

Not necessarily...that is still waiting for a GD answer.
You see, you can only pick up an object if you are moving as the result of being given a power, move, or free action.
With Lunge, we don't yet have an answer as to what is causing the movement. The "feat" could be doing it, and the feat is not an action. The "attack" could be doing it, and that isn't an action. The action could be doing it, so that could work (depending on the action).

I've got a little correction to make here.
He still needs to meet the prerequisite. He doesn't do that while he has LtA, so it is a moot issue for now.
(In my head, I was thinking Charge was a prerequisite.)

Sidestep
Prerequisites: {duo}
Choose a character.
When using the Duo Attack special ability, before making the second attack the character can attempt to move up to 4 squares (it must still successfully break away, if necessary). If it moves, it must be able to attempt the second attack after the move.
I am not sure but if it is allowed with sidestep, it would prolly be allowed with lunge, but as he said gotta wait on one of those screwball offical rulings.
A good defense will only last for so long, before you must crush your enemies outright!
