Not as good as he was, since getting him onto the Perplex is much trickier without being able to cancel Willpower. But still... it's Howard. And that in itself counts for a lot.

not only it is as good as before, its better. You cant cancel Willpower anymore, but the new text implies you dont need to, as it says "this character MAY ignore pushind damage".
On the other hand, Leadership got a big boost, so this little duckie is now a veritable LE Edward Nigma for a mere 35 points. This is clearly a 5 star piece now, at least tournament wise.
Actually, the leadership only works on characters with a LOWER point value. Characters with leadership at a low point value are worse now, because they need a 5 or 6 for the extra action.
I wont lie I am a little bias since I loved this character in the comics! SO trying to see past that for 35 points this is an amazing piece that holds its own in game!
I teamed Howard here wit Shadowloo the other night. It was nuts. Turn two, he picks up the Crimson Gem, knocks out a couple of bruisers with super strength, then goes and picks up the Scorpio Key! He won me the game, dishing out his own brand of 2 range psychic blast on a tight indoor map. He'll always find a home in my clix collection!
This odd little piece presents me with a dilemma: do I stay in relative safety and enjoy some Leadership for my low-cost goons, or do I give up his best (but still modest) numbers and cover for the much more valuable Perplex. There's no obvious answer, but because he has no range, the party rarely comes to him and you might get more mileage out of the Perplex, especially since he can theoretically deal 4 damage with a little duck. I mean... luck. 3 clicks of Perplex is not too shabby for that cost, either. Wauugh!

I don't use resources. I think they ruin a figures individuality and design. But I own the Gauntlet so I could complete the IG Limited Edition set. Just for laughs ill occasionally put the gauntlet on a goofy character to see how it works out. I DON'T put a resource on an already efficient beatstick just to be a puss....Ill use it on howard here for balancing purposes. Nobody can get mad at a 35 point duck with the powers of a god right? Howard attained godhood and had a ten attack and a 3 damage. I used his perplex to deal a total of 8 damage to a IM3 Mk 7. The ducks fluffy flurry put him on click seven. Of course howard chose outwit before using his flurry. Ironman couldn't hit my 17 defense so my next turn proceeded without a hitch. Howard chose Blades claws fangs and perplexed his attack to an eleven.....this friggin duck rolls a 5 and deals more than enough to ko ironman.
What happens when an opponent witnesses a 35 point duck ko his brand new 150 point ironman? Rage followed by full on retaliation. He sent in beta ray bill and hulk. Hulk based me while beta running shot me for 3 damage. Towards on his last click with a 16 defense via combat reflexes. I choose impervious and rest. Beta and hulk rest. Howard chooses regeneration and for the love of god heals four clicks.my impossible man bases beta ray bill as tie up fodder. Hulk flurries, he deals three and misses the next because of the ducks probability and impossible mans probability. Howard chooses exploit and burns through 3 of hulks impervious clicks. Hulk pushes and flurries again, I finally remember that howard had supersenses because of the time gem and I start evading hits. Impossible man dies but incaps beta thus causing push damage. Howard rest. Hulk and beta rest. Howard uses the power gem and DEFEATS THE HULK! He then chooses stealth as he noticed that betas line of fire was hindered by an object. Long story short....howard uses his 2 range and outwit to zap beta into oblivion. What caused his downfall was he didn't realize that howard had range and didn't want to base him. It was the most satisfying win I have ever had.

:star: Cosmic Awareness something something? : howard the duck infinite's stats cannot be modified by opposing characters. Howard the duck may give an adjacent friendly an action token, if he does he can use perplex.

:star: Ultimate Endurance baby!: Howard the Duck infinite cannot be the target of mind control, incapacitate or psychic blast. Howard ignores pushing damage, if he has two action tokens he can use shape change. if he has one action token he can use super senses, if he has zero action tokens he can use both once per turn.

This is the way to use those horrid resources. Forget about giving a hammer to Juggernaut. I want to see the Power Pack wielding some hammers.
Now, you've just got to get Howard the Iron Man Briefcase, to make Iron Duck.
