A very good idea, we don't need one more badass around. But in practice, looks like a failure. With a 33% chance of failure, who's gonna use the second option of Dark Bargain, except in the most dire circumstances. Not resistant enough, also, but at least it's Mystic. Leadership for only Mephisto himself, not a bad idea, but with a 50% chances of failure, seems pretty weak to me. A double affiliation Mystic/Cosmic Power would have been much more accurate.
Not such a bad figure, but pretty weak for Mephisto who is after all a cosmic power, and 145 points? This is madness.
Let me get this straight; He's 145 point double incap figure with 1 damage? And the opponent has a 1/3 chance of taking no damage? He's got outwit, which is good, and a leadership action only he can use? Oh my. He's got Mystics, which is accurate, and a (for the cost and character) low defense value. He's saved somewhat by Regen, which makes opponents dig through Mystic clicks all over again. Stunning Blow would add his damage value to Dark Bargian whether the opponent rolls well or not, but 10 points to deal 1 damage? For Shame. Auto-Regen might be a good play in unrestricted, but I would just never play him. The boobie-pull super rare of the year.
Knockdown and Takedown improve his playability twofold, but it's sad that you have to feat a cosmic-level threat like Mephisto just to make him playable at 150+ points. Awesome sculpt and special powers, which make up for the lack of damage. Great for the occasional deity theme with Surtur and some Fire Demons.
I would have rather seen him with 0 damage + Incap + Regen at the end of his dial, if it meant that his cost could have been dropped to 100 points.
It would be an interesting dial design at a lower point cost, but at 140, the dial is ridiculously overpriced... and it's nothing like how Mephisto should be in Clix form.

Heh. I don't get what the Hate on this figure is about. Yeah he's not great but this is pretty good for what he's like outside of Hell (Or the Netherrealm depending on who's writing). He is not all powerful outside of his own realm. One Damage is a bit on the low side but really he can actully do his one damage on every click.
I play Heroclix, Pathfinder, and retro video games on Twitch!
Man alive, there is no way this tit should be 145 points. A big bag of useless. Skrull Jarvis took full responsibility for KOing him last game, Jarvis took 1 damage. 36pts VS 145pts.
He needs to be major bad ###. Just because he is a trickster, doesn't mean that he doesn't have Impervious or an 18 defense. Also, if you fail his bargains, you loose lots of things, see Spiderman, but really, a half #### incapacitate, REALLY, that's all he is wagering. He should have a power that gives the defender a small chance to take no damage, but if you fail you take like 5 un-reducable damage. Roll a D 6, if you roll a 6 you take no damage, if you roll a 1-5 you take that in un-reducable damage.
What an absolute P.O.S. When I pulled this out of my SI booster, I was genuinely upset, because it could have just as easily been Power Man and Iron Fist, or hell, any other Super Rare from that set. I wouldn't play this dial for 50-60 points, let alone 145. Mystics TA is the only redeeming quality about this entire thing, and even then, why in Odin's name would you play him? It's like they made the rest of Secret Invasion so amazingly good that they piled all the leftover "utter crap" factor from the balance scale onto one fig and called it a day. HoT Super Rare Loki is ashamed to share a power name with this abomination. If it wasn't going for 15 dollars online (somehow), I might just use it as a firework housing on the Fourth of July. Easily gets my vote for "Worst Super Rare of All Time."

the best thing going for this figure is the mystics/regen combo. if you wanna make him more expensive, slap auto regen on him and your opponent will really hate you. still, he seems ridiculously over priced and not comic accurate enough.
I finally played him and the major draw back is his amazing 1 damage.....Once he gets based its over. I really was surprised how hard it was to play. Maybe if he was indomitable or something. Like the sculpt just highlighted the details on the base with white to bring out the spirits....
He should of had Doom's from this sets dial and more points... Maybe we'll getter better Hell-lords soon...like Hela, and Pluto isn't bad for only 125 either...I could pray for the actual Satan clix Lucifer, the Morning Star... the real one who messed with Johnny Blaze and is Damian Hellstorm's true father...He's the actual Hell ruler and really powerful on par with Odin...
Every time I look at this piece I clench my teeth and shake my fist. What in the world were they thinking when they made the Dark Lord this useless? 145 points for a figure that can only deal one damage! His Dark Bargain power is a joke--if you miss the roll, then you paid 145 points for a figure to use incap; if you make the roll, then you paid 145 points for a figure to use incap and deal one damage. Whoopity-doo! Thankfully, the new leadership rules give him some justification for existing, as there are a lot of figures under 145 points that can benefit from a roll of 5 or 6. But his greatest value probably comes from the trade market--that IS a pretty epic sculpt and hey, it's Mephisto, so even if you never play him, he's kind of awesome as a collector's piece.
