used the blob to mm damage to. beat my friend who used the fantastic four ff torch, thing, mr fantastic and invis woman. I pushed the dial to psychic blast and went to town on them. used the sentry for cannon fodder.
With the new chaos war versions of space phantoms, immortus now has an army and mastermind fodder! Even if its an army of receding hairline webbed armpit bugged eyed soldiers, they still fit well with immortus. I pulled and traded for 5 of the 45 point weaker ones, but I did manage to get my hands on 3 60 point gravity feed versions. Although there harder to find....they can use shape change and super senses! Played an immortus, 3 45 point phantoms and two 60 point phantoms, I added a vet kang for attacking potential. I battled mistress death, ironman and a crap ton of shield agents and won! Immortus never took a hit while the space phantoms were receiving his damage. I never got a chance to use his insane amount of regeneration. But I suppose that's a good thing...the phantoms aren't the best attackers but they sure know how to annoy your opponent.
This guy's LONG reach with two targets and two strong supporting powers (and a power nerf) suggest a guy who likes wide open spaces and isn't in a hurry to mix it up in person. Mastermind and Phasing will let him escape danger (and his Outwit/PC afford him extra coverage), but his lack of Indomitable and crumbling defense values make it a risk to push him, despite the steady attack/damage. You want that opening 17! When his Regen overlaps the PC you stand a good chance of restoring Mastermind. If you see Pulse Wave, it may be too late to have a meaningful impact. Take note that his anti-PC doesn't even have a range limit, so you can even lock down PC from across the board in your opening spot (for Leadership rolls, etc.).
