I just got a message from ben about our trade, giving reasons to why things were delayed and no contact was made, and most importantly that my stuff would be out in the mail tomorrow. I can't varaify the truth to his claims, but truth or not I'm happy as long as I get my stuff.
When your name is dragged through the mud there are a number of thoughts that go through your head...
First is screw you all...! Be lying if i didnt say that I thought about jacking in HCR and forgetting about this and dealing with the important things in life.
Not plastic figures, or how you can have a system to give people confidence and how it doesnt work, but how you may have lost your job, and how going into an office where you no longer work demanding a tracking number may get someone else in trouble for doing you a favour!
How insisting that you leave your nephews and nieces alone while their mother is in ICU having an emergancy hysterectomy cos she doesnt have the internet so you can send an email to a guy about a plastic figure he bought from you.
I have never scammed anyone, and never would. Its not in my nature. I would hate for anyone to get scammed on this forum , and i can understand how Dustin feels, but sometimes there is a reason why someone doesnt respond straight away, maybe its worth giving someone the benefit out the doubt.....if not then just buy from a shop!
To those who have traded with me before, i hope you are willing to trade again in the furture. To those of you now wary of a guy who puts his family above heroclix, I didnt want to trade with you anyway!
I will happily post the tracking information on here for everyone to prove my honesty.
I really am bummed about this but dont want to let this spoil my enjoyment of the game and the forum.

Like I said before, your reasons are your reasons. What happened sounds terrible, and I wish the best, but 1 it's not really any of my business and 2 the fact that you eventually said something is good enough for me. I don't care if it's truth or not and if it is I'm sorry and I hope for the best for everything, if not what ever again I don't care. You said my stuff will be in the mail, and I'll trust your word. When my stuff comes in you'll be promptly repped. It really saddens me that such arguements happen between people online over little plastic figures. hanks again for getting my stuff out, even if it was delayed.
I also received a PM from Ben this afternoon after several days with no contact.
He states he sent from his work post room and didn't get the tracking info (which I find an irresponsible method to send a chase figure), then when he finally got back there, the package was just sitting in a corner a month after I made payment. Sorry if I don't fully buy it.
What he told me was that the post room was closed for several days christmas week, and that he would have the info for me next monday. Next monday came and went, then the excuse was that he wasn't in the office for the rest of the week, but he'd be back in the new year.
A little honesty up front would have been appreciated. If you did in fact lose your job, well I'm sorry about that. if your sister did, in fact, have an emergency Hysterectomy and you needed to spend several days at her house, I'm sorry for that too. I would've understood those situations. But, you lied to me that the package was 100% posted and that the information I needed (tracking info) was readily available to you through your place of employment.
You didn't send from work, the package wasn't posted there and there was no tracking information until this afternoon when you took it to your local post office to send it.
Forgive me if I believe the entire story sounds really convenient. May lightning strike me down if it is indeed true. The fact remains that there was 30 days from when payment was received until a package was posted.
I'm keeping the Paypal dispute open until I receive the package and document the contents. I'll be more then happy to have the itrader rating changed after that as well.
I appreciate your efforts to rectify the situation, but I fully believe that had I not posted this information publicly that you would have taken no action. I would fully expect that if our situations were reversed, that a thread would be posted about me in order to give a heads up to other community members. That's what makes the system work.

1) It sounds like you had a terrible Christmas and New Year, but people aren't psychic, unless you told them the reason for delays was hardships (which it doesn't appear was the case), you just appear to be a very tardy trader with a string of excuses.
2) The whole 'just plastic figures, get some life perspective' vibe is lame frankly, as one guy is talking $90, which is real life cash equivalent to a real life car insurance payment or telephone bill.
Be a stand up guy, suck it up and fix things (which is at least what you appear to be doing), or rightfully expect to get labeled a bad trader, because that's what you would be.
I don't think anyone will complain about something being very late (well some would, but no-one would support them), as long as they know it's really coming.
I've been waiting on a Foom for weeks now, but the poor guy I bought from was hit by blizzards then had the package bounced back to him. Np, he kept me informed.
Hope this works out for you all.
PS - Oh and don't give up on the realms for trading, I've done several hundred trades here and had 1 scammer and 1 incredibly awkward refund. Not bad percentages.
With all the stuff going on here I wouldn't take a huge offense to having people "freak out" if you don't respond to them. It's also hard to believe you had a package that had a chase figure in it just sitting in some mail room. I wouldn't buy that either. Big deal you forgot to send it out or didn't have the time, just explain that to the person and move on. I've gone through real life situations too that have held up trades, but I have always been able to find 5 or 10 minutes to hop on a computer and keep communication with the people I have deals going on with. I highly, highly doubt you didn't have 5 minutes a week to jump on a computer and send a PM that takes 1 minute to write. Sorry to hear about the stuff going on with you, but at the same time you are jacking around with other people's money, that's real life stuff for them. Stop looking for pity, man up, and get the stuff out. I also hope things with your life get going better, quickly.

Well did anyone get their stuff, or get this situation resolved? I came on here and publicly defended this guy, and now it seems he has scammed me. I trusted him, and bought some figures from his sales thread............February 5th I paid for them. After they hadn't arrived in 6 weeks, I contacted him (actually I contacted him first after a month) this was his reply on March 23:

So here I sit, April 1st 2009, almost 2 months since I paid for the figures. No figures, and this guy BSing me and won't respond to my PMs. I also see from his profile that he was on here today, so there is no way he hasn't gotten my PMs.

In short, I'm pissed. I am letting everyone know, DON'T TRADE/DEAL WITH THIS GUY !!!!!!! And I will be opening a Pay Pal dispute.

I got everything from him, on time even from what he said it was going to be. Don't know what's going on with him and your stuff W.I.T. I hope everything gets resolved.
I as well have bought a chase figure (Queen Hipolyta) and another figure from Ben and had no problems. He gave me a tracking number from Royal mail and I was able to watch the shipment all the way to my house. One week from shipment to delivery. I was weary at first as I have never bought from overseas before. But Ben came through for me.
It seems that he knows how to play the scam game, as I can't even open a Pay Pal dispute because it's been more than 45 days.
I hope you choke on that $38.00 little man, and know this: I'll be dogging you here every chance I get.
That's what I feel he was doing to me, trying to yank my chain for the 45 days until I couldn't file a dispute. He didn't respond until I filed the Paypal claim and started this thread.
A few weeks ago, I got a PM from a member I know who was currently buying several chase figures from him and was beginning to get the run around from Ben. My advice was to immediately file a Paypal dispute because he never seemed to respond to any other methods (PM's, e-mails). Within a week, the figures were sent.
Good luck getting your figures or your loot back. This guy is full of excuses. There should be no reason to take so long to ship a package if he is in fact currently unemployed.
W.I.T.- I still have all of his personal info that I demanded from him (address, cell number, etc). I can forward it over your way if you need it to contact the local authorities in the UK.
