No the FF starter was out before Gencon last year, and I was playing in a sealed event and I had a WC and one of the power pack figures, before the power pack figure was attacked I WC FF and got to heal one when the power pack figure died. And this was ruled by Norm.
Norm has made mistakes before (and admitted as much). It happens to all of us from time to time and it sounds like (barring further clarification and specifics of the situation) that this was one of those time.
Wildcards do not posses the FF TA so a KO'd wildcard can not trigger healing with the FF TA.
yea I edited my post to say that I'm not saying it was right, it's just how it was ruled then. wildcards got so nerfed towards the end of clix! Yet they couldn't errata SIF... idiots.

This is correct. If it had been the WC that had been attacked and KO'd while WCing to FF, the Power Pack figure would not have been given a healing click.
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.

I'm not saying that this was correct, but it's how it was ruled then and this was after the FF starter.
It's like Smudge said. This is correct, and this has been stated several times in the thread.
The healing would not, however, happen if the PP figure also had the Alt F4 ATA.
Oh. I misread what was being said. I didn't realize you were only talking about when the FF feat is in play. I just enjoy getting owned in the rules threads.
With the rules updates, I'm curious if this thread is still accurate.
1) If my team is Mr. Fantasic, Dr. Strange, and SI Spider-Man, when Mr. Fantastic dies, Strange and Spidey may heal, but that is the only healing going on.
2) With the new ATA rules, Mr. Fantastic could possess the FF TA and use (or is it possess?) the FF ATA?

When a character possessing the Fantastic Four team ability is defeated, each friendly character using the Fantastic Four team ability can be healed of 1 damage. If all remaining characters using the team ability are defeated as part of the resolution of the same action, this team ability cannot be used.
They can still heal, yes.

BN, page 17:
ALTERNATE TEAM ABILITIES
Alternate Team Ability (ATA) cards can be added to your force if the characters on your team meet the prerequisite listed on the card. Each ATA card indicates the cost per character that must be added to your force in order to use it in the game. ATA cards provide either different or additional team abilities to the qualifying characters on your force. These team abilities are possessed by the qualifying characters and can be used by wild cards (unless the ATA specifies otherwise). A force may only include one ATA card.
FANTASTIC FORCE
Keyword(s):Fantastic Four
Cost: 5
Characters using this team ability may replace their defense value with the unmodified defense value of an adjacent friendly character using this team ability.
Nothing in the Fantastic Force ATA description indicates that it replaces the old TA, so it is one of those additional ones mentioned in the ATA write-up.
And taking the flip side, this is one of those TAs that has not been updated to completely work with wild cards, right? For example, if the force is still Mr. Fantastic, Dr. Strange, and SI Spider-Man, Dr. Strange and SI Spider-Man have previously declared as the FF TA and Dr. Strange is KOd, because Dr. Strange does not possess the FF TA then there will be no healing for either Mr. Fantastic or Spidey, correct?

As of right now, yes, but I expect that to chenge.
