OK, nice finish to the One Man Army piece. Some great pointers, even for those who don't have pieces such as Superman Prime. It's not about who you play, it's how you play them. I've always wanted to try playing just one character boosted up with some good feat cards, the closest I came was when I played KC Superman with support pieces (to many to consider it a one man army). By the way, he is one tough cookie to try and beat. Awesome series and Rep to you Anonym0us.

Thorin: "Then we will fight in the shade."
Healing Factor it's four points, doesn't cost an action, and with Apocalypse's ability to negate pushing damage it's a nice back up in case a two or three comes up on the die roll.
I think you need to go back and reread Healing Factor. Regenerating is still a power action; it just doesn't take an action from you available actions for the turn. It's basically Avengers/Brotherhood/JLA/Top Cow for regeneration. So it's completely useless on a one-character team. (It's also 6 points.)
Very nice job on this article, 'mouse. I think this is the best of the week! Lots of great tips; a couple things that I often regret not doing, like memorizing dials. I will have to disagree slightly on the JSA Museum, though, if only because my opponents also know about the time ship and will almost always choose that side of the map!

Maybe you missed the part where I said the words with Apocalypse's ability to negate pushing damage it's implied he get's a token. The feat also says IT DOESN'T COST THE PLAYER AN ACTION. If a charactor has Indomidable or the ability to avoid taking damage from pushing it's better than SPENDING AN ACTUAL ACTION ON REGEN. I can't tell you how many times I've rolled a three and healed ONE CLICK with Auto Regen wishing I had Healing Factor so I could get a second crack a better result.

I don't really get what you're trying to say... If you're discussing teams with more than one character, the feat could be useful, but the thread would indicate that you are talking about Apoc as a One Man Army. The text on Healing Factor doesn't say that the character doesn't recieve a token, it merely states that the action does not come from your turns allotted actions and is therefore completely useless on a one figure team.
"I just sold you for a cigarette and I don't even smoke!" - Monarch, The Venture Bros.
Any more, if a character meets the prerequisites for it on half their dial, I'd take a chance on using Outsmart over Fortitude, because it frees up 15 points. The key is, eliminating the opposing Outwit ASAP.
With Apoc, I might run him in 300 like this:
Apoc 250
Outsmart 10
Auto Regen 12
Camo 8
Stunning blow 10
Nanoarmor 6
Forbush Man 4
ALthough I really, really want to use Trick Shot on the big lug.

To me the article is about those figures who are doing all the fighting for their respective teams not an actual translation of the phrase. Even Apocalypse would get destroyed trying to take on a whole team by himself I envision him as the brick on a team with Chief and Contingency Plan. Apocalypse does indeed get a token I'm not disputing that fact what I am say is it's better than wasting an action to regen especially with Contingency Plan where those unused actions are so important.
This might sound sacreligious, but drop Protected for Camouflage. Fortitude means he won't lose it (until somehow he's been smacked around) and you get most of the benefits of Repusor Sheild for 1/3 the cost.
I can't speak to the last 5 points though. There are just a lot of options that revolve around personal taste and play style.
If you want to get really stupid with the cardboard try this:
Thats a lot of cardboard, but it does make him practically impossible to kill in higher point games. If you bury him behind a bunch of chumps, namely S.H.I.E.L.D. or U-men, he's an unstoppable killing machine.
Also, speaking of Prime, Shellhead is an absolute must, even if he doesn't meet the pre-reqs on his invincible clix. I make sure to throw it anyone thats indomitable or Power Cosmic.
So what if I'm a wolf on full moon nights?
I'm still part man, and I've got rights!

The highlight is there because it's the very reason that Shellhead doesn't work on Prime. The symbol on his base does not match the feat, so there is no bonus to be had. Thanos, Apoc, and E-2 all enjoy the Shellhead, but Prime and other Indom pieces don't get to be part of the fun.

Is this article/thread ignoring the 10% Feat rule? Apocalypse can't have 50 points of feats unless he's playing in a 500 point game (and it would be silly to use him as single-man army at 200 points less than your opponent's force).
This is What I Want(ed, circa GSX/2010): Nextwave ATA: 100 pts. may use all Team Abilities as long as force is only Nextwave keyword.
