Actually, is that a miss? 17def plus perplex; equals 18. Thought it was replace then modify. Reason why I perplex up Wyatt's defense.

It is replace then modify, but what you did was modify first, then you replaced. Since the replacing (Defend, FF ATA, etc.) doesn't take into effect until the target is attacked. So powers that are combat activated are the only way to modify after replacing, such as ESD, CR, etc.

Oh well, another mistake.
