"Maybe this will cool your heels!" the Human Torch says as he lets a fireball go at Quicksilver's feet. The Avenger evades it with ease.

"Really? Is that your best effort? Really? It's a wonder Crystal tolerated your ineptitude as long as she did," he replies.

There's a momentary quiet in the air interrupted by the Thing. "Oh no, he didn't."

"What? What did I say?" a truly oblivious Quicksilver replies.

Good story. Johnny and Gee are in the same spot, but that shouldn't affect my turn. I wouldn't count the FF out just yet though. The Thing's still got a lot of fight in him and Sue's going to have the Tomar effect on this game, I think.

Speaking of Sue, Quicksilver runs up to J17 to hit her again. AV8 on DV19. Gets 4. Not even close. Not that I was expecting much. He ends M18.

Hawkeye said, "Like you need to tell me! The guy with the bow is a little worried about the guy who can throw a bus." A couple of exploding arrows, followed by one of the Vision's eye beams had a visible effect on Ben Grimm.

"Oh yeah, the Thing's lookin' a little rocky now. Uh, no pun intended there," Hawkeye laughed.

Don't give up on that FF yet? And just where are you seeing reason for optimism? I'd expected the Avengers to do well, even win but...

Granted that last turn made a big difference in how this game's going.

You still have both Johnny and Gee in K15. And the Thing can't get to J15. He has to stop moving when he hits Hindering Terrain, so J14's as far as he can get.

"Houston, we have a problem!" Hawkeye complained as the Thing swung his mighty fists at him.

"Not a serious problem, I think," the Vision glided over and intangeably stuck his hand into the Thing's chest, momentarily solidifying it just the slightest degree. It was enough. The Thing was out.

"Thanks Vizh," Hawkeye said. "And now it's my turn to carry my weight around here," he added, finishing off the Human Torch as well.

What a complete and utter rout. With the exception of the initial damage to Songbird I was unable to do anything here.

So Sue could try and hold out a bit. She attacks Pietro. Needs 6, rolls 3. Ok, that's a sign. I surrender.

I had hoped for a better game, maybe next time. Avengers move on.

Would definitely have liked to see the FF go further, but luck of the draw and luck of the dice were against them. 300 points wasn't their best choice for points, while the Avengers have such range they can field a decent team at any point value really. Ah well. Onto the next...
