A transporter with an initial 12 AV means that he can conceivably attack an opposing figure 20 squares away with a respectable 10 after the move-and-attack penalty. That's nothing to complain about. As a Duo figure he's vulnerable to Outwit (as you can't play Fortitude on him) but you'll need multiple Outwitters to neuter him.
In a 500-point game Thor's Mighty Chariot suffers a bit because so many of his powers are based on teamwork - Defend, Carry, and Enhancement don't do anything if he has no team-mates. Still, SCAM has the same problem and he's very playable by himself too.
A fun trick will be to place Thor's Mighty Chariot behind a wall (to protect against Outwit), then at the beginning of your turn destroy the wall and Charge/tranmsporter attack right through.
Good feats for Thor's Mighty Chariot will include Automatic Regeneration, Haymaker, Whirlwind (yes, seriously!), Armour Piercing (goes great with Poison, Drag, and Whirlwind), and Sidestep.
In addition Whirlwind. Repulsor is where it's at. :). With the wording, he'd basically have ranged BCF without having to roll to hit. Ridiculous.
Except, unfortunately, that's not how Repulsor works. It's not ranged Force Blast, it's automatic knockback from a ranged attack, regardless of whether or not you roll doubles. But Whirlwind could be nasty, especially on the Supernova space map.
Im displeased with this pieces powers. There hasnt been a Thor figure yet that measures up to its comic counterpart. This figure will be a lot of fun in higher point games. You can put Whirlwind and hopefully that card that came with THE MIGHTY THOR figure.
well... this is different... poison? only three clix of impervious... i say disappointing. but its something to give me hope that they game will return.
it just makes me laugh that ppl don't like this fig. he's a BEAST!! if he gets ganged up on and beat down easily then you're not using him right!! transporter attack and indom should make sure he stays far away from most enemies. stealth is his only weakness but thats just like 98% of heroclix unless you w/c superman/ultimates. thor is a swiss army knife IMO. it takes at LEAST two outwits to shut him down. not many clix can say that.

a little disapointing especially with opening charge for 3 clicks and running shot at the end but he is a beast i think he should open with running shot and charge at the end and like 1 oe 2 more clicks of running shot but overall awsome

I think it will be great in a 600-800 pt game, as long as your opponent doesn't come a swarming12 adjacency points hasn't ever been so fun against a good swarm. Definitely gonna be carting around a Winter Soldier and/or a Sniper. I don't know. I love this big brick of plastic for sure though!
Great sculpt. The dial and SP's seems to make sense for Thor's Chariot. This fig has a ton of versatility on every click. Almost too much, many of the powers cannot be used together. I think this fig would play best in like an 800 point game. You could add some ranged attackers for the enhancement. With enough perplex and prob, you could keep him effectively transport move and attacking the whole time, then hide behind a wall only to destroy it next turn. I think you would need someone with outwit in order to counter your opponents' outwit. Regardless, it is awesome to have a new Heroclix, and this is certainly a great piece!!
Wow, my first Units comment...and what a piece to take my Units virginity. I really really really love this piece- I've yearned for it ever since I saw the pics on the WizKids blog! Obviously people are looking at him and seeing things that don't look 500 pointish, and that's fair. But I just look at him and see options. In bigger games, this guy is going to be brutal for his combination of support abilities (carry, wall-busting, enhancement, defend) and power (HSS-lite, duo-attack, BCF, and Blades/Claws/FORCE BLAST!!!). I don't think too many people will want to base him with the Buttin Heads SP. Also, that regen is so well placed...sure, you can't be back up to his top few clicks...but then, he still has half of his dial to go afterwards! I'm so excited to get him in the fray and see how well he plays with others!
Just wanna point out; Shellhead is useless on him (or any other indomitable figure) because he has the :d-indomitable: symbol and shellhead doesnt affect that.
BUT, i would love to be able to abuse Haymaker with this guy and charge.
and as i learned you can use haymaker with BCF but the BCF replaces what you modified, so its pointless...
but lookin at this guy, it doesnt say his unmodified damage value (reffering to his bcf power) so really you'd be rolling hoping for a six and doing at least a five. thats awesome...
