Re: Anti-Venom. Spider-man also fought side-by-side with Venom on occasion. He's another on-the-fence case. Does anyone else think he should be taken off?
.
Once Gargan became Venom he's been a spidey villain because as Scorpian him and Spider Man have had a long history of hatred. But Anti Venom is all about compassion it remains to be seen if the suit will give rise to Anti-Carnage. Ha Carnage who goes around forcing bad people to love each other HAHAHAHAHA
Nice list, I remember Spidey fighting a villan called Ramrod ( 30 odd years ago ) and cobalt man comes to mind from that era as well.
Still waiting for Tarantula ( my favorite spidey villan ) will o the wisp and puma to get the clix treatment. Then I'll take all the others missing in action from your list.
Stiltman was certainly more of a Daredevil villain but he beat spiderman every time they fought so that should count for something.
'The game used to be built around many fundamental rules. But there are a number of figures that fly in the face of those rules. Their powers are too all encompassing, and too cheap.' -MegaLotusMan
Gladiator, with the buzz saws? Daredevil's, no question.
Fixer teamed with Mentallo against SHIELD, and went on to be an Avengers villain. I didn't know he'd even met Spider-Man.
Gypsy Moth was Spider-Woman's enemy.
Killer Shrike and Jack O'Lantern are definitely Spidey's.
I'm not fond of the Team-Up idea. Even multiple appearances don't necessarily make someone your villain. Spidey had a stretch in the 80's where he fought Cobra, Grey Gargoyle, Red Ghost, and Stilt-Man more often than he fought Dr. Octopus, but that doesn't mean much after the fact.

I went and did some looking.
Gladiator is more of a Daredevil villain.
Gypsy Moth is a Spider-Woman Enemy.
Fixer though has fought everyone it seems. I remember him in 1963 Spiderman Issue
Other then Masters of Evil/Thunderbolts I don't think he has ever been one persons nemasis. Which I knew of two of them off the top of my head. I would say he is more of an Avengers villain though. =) After looking at the above.
Ramrod was another guy I mulled over, but ultimately I decided he was more a Daredevil guy. His first four appearances were in his book.
Actually, Gladiator IS on my list, under the Gang of Four in the Team-Up list. But I already decided to take that one off. Same as Stilt-Man.
Fixer was actually part of the infamous "New Enforcers." I only listed the three original characters in that team, cause the others were people like Vanisher, Dragon Man, Plantman, and Controller, among others. It was that team that prompted Spidey to make his equally infamous Spider Armor.
Yeah Gypsy Moth is Spider-Woman. Never even met Spider-man, I don't think.
I forget why, but I listed Jack O' Lantern as Mad Jack. It seemed silly to list him under both names.
Killer Shrike? I don't think he's even remotely Spidey's, let alone "definitely." He's only been in Spidey's books a handful of times. He's been in a lot of different comics. He's more an all-purpose villain, like Fixer.
Mandrill's first appearance was in Shanna the She-Devil. He mostly fought the Defenders and the Avengers. Spidey a few times, but not much. So he's a no.
