Blackest Night
Uncanny X-Men
Dark Avengers
Astonishing X-Men
X-Men Legacy
Comics are too expensive for me these days. I used to buy 10 a week, but I only collect Astonishing and X-Men Legacy to keep my runs going. If most of the other books weren't #### at $3 plus, I might have tried some of them.
I am not removing this until we get the rest of the Marauders, Cameron Hodge and Genoshan Magistrates. Thank you Wizkids. Uncanny X-Men was perfect.
Nova - Awesome, week in and week out, this series is great Thor - a little slow, but has had some great moments and interesting twists
DC:
JSA - still enjoying it, even without Johns
Indy:
Conan - Crushing his enemies, and seeing them driven before him Atomic Robo - Favorite book out right now, it's fun, zany, action packed, and doesn't take itself to seriously Buck Rogers - Looks like a great update to the old series so far
"Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad,
He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad
He's a real cad, Un-fun Dad"
I like to buy because of the authors. I like to have comics that have covers and art by Alex Ross.
Must have comics for Me: Macro Events Main series (If I like them).
Also, It just ended Legion of 3 Worlds. The "real" Final Crisis after Sinestro Wars.
Right Now this is what I got:
-Blackest Night (and Crossovers)
-Booster Gold
-JLA Cry for Justice
-Flash Rebirth
-Tinny Titans (so cute!)
-"Versus" specials (always there is someone like Superman, Batman versus Aliens/Predators, etc).
I don't buy Marvel latery. For me the dead of Civil War and Captain America was a good point to "end" the Marvel Collection. (After that begin the new Marvel Universe post Mephisto Spider-Man deal and without Cap Marvel don't look the same)
DC:
5 Detective Comics (Batwoman) - Art is incredible
4 Batman & Robin - something to it that just hooks me in
3 Justice League: Cry For Justice - Art is incredible
2 Flash: Rebirth - some people not liking it but I really love what they are doin with it.
1 Blackest Night (including tie-ins, GL and GLCs) - no explanation here.
Marvel:
5 Amazing Spider-Man - Got back into it with #600 and 601 - pretty cool so far.
4 Deadpool Suicide Kings - Lovin it but wish it wasnt ending soon.
3 Captain America Reborn - great story, great art, great covers
2 X-Men Forever - lovin this and the every other week release is great
1 Deadpool - my favorite on going, no doubt
Indy:
5 Mercy Sparxxx - just started reading, cool but A little contrived
4 Grimm Fairy Tales - pretty cool work, mainly my gf gets it but I like it as well
3 Halloween - on hiatus but have loved it from the start
2 Cursed Pirate Girl - Amazing work
1 Hack/Slash - good but has had troubles latley, great covers, fun and really knows how to please its readers
Also liking, Power Girl, Wednesday Comics, Batman, and Red Robin
Excited for Arkham Reborn, Batgirl and Batman Widening Gyre
Image - Walking Dead (How hasn't this been made into a movie yet?)
Dark Horse - Red Sonja
Conan the Cimmerian
The Goon (Movie Soon!)
WitchFinder
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (They could make a TV series out of this one. Really)
Vertigo - House Of Mystery (Creepy!)
Who are these Marrvel and DeeCee everyone keeps talking about?
i don't have any DC picks, so I'll have to go nearly all Marvel. I'm also don't think I have many more than 10 regular series. In no particular order:
Atomic Robo (But only in TPB, I started after my shop failed to carry the individual series)
Guardians of the Galaxy
Deadpool
Avengers: The Initiative
Invincible Iron Man
Marvel Adventures (Assorted, varies on which and if I buy them from week to week)
Secret Warriors
Yep, that's all the ongoing I have right at the moment, I'd list Captain America but it's on hiatus (and I'm not buying Reborn) though I'll undoubtedly get it again when it returns; and Ultimate Spider-Man I'll more than likely 'keep', despite the $4 reboot.
But to get a full 10, I also have the following miniseries:
Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter (1 issue left)
Deadpool: Suicide Kings (1 issue left)
Old Man Logan (Special issue left)
And then stuff that's in the middle of transition/about to start up and such.
1. Daredevil-Long time fan and I have from #1 April 1964 to present, including all guest appearances in other books.
2. JLA- My favorite team of all time.
3. Red Sonja-Been a fan of hers since I first saw her in Conan 22 or 23 back in the 70's.
4. Green Lantern/GL Corps- I consider them the same book.
5. Superman/Batman
6. Warlord-Mike Grell is back and this version reminds me so much like the original series I had to go back and reread every one of them. Glad I have all of them.
7. JSA
8. Ms Marvel
9. Captain America- Just an excellent book and longtime favorite.
10. Titans-My favorite version of the team, just wish Bruce Wayne would be found so Nightwing would return (favorite DC hero).
Others
Teen Titans
Tiny Titans (For my grandson)
Supergirl
Bloodrayne
1. Daredevil-It's been consistently good since Bendis took over and Brubaker has not missed a beat.
2. Deadpool-What can I say other than he makes me laugh.
3. Captian America-Reborn-Once again, a little Brubaker magic.
4. Dark Reign: Lethal Legion-It kind of has a "Resivor Dogs" feel to it.
5. X-Force-Nothing like reading a book about a team of bad#####es.
6. Cable-Though their is no hard evidence supporting his cause, I trust Cabie's judgment, and I want to see how this plays out.
7. X-Factor-I've always liked Multiple man and Strong Guy, but since the return of Layla Miller, I've been glued to it.
8. Dark Avengers-Norman Osborns Thunderbolts are the Avengers(at least the insane ones are). How is that not interesting?
9. Punisher- Max series- No Garth Ennis, but it still packs a punch. Plus, it's good to see evil people get what the deserve.
10. B.P.R.D.- Another comic that consistently delivers one good story after another.
A man and a giraffe are in bar drinking. The giraffe falls to the ground passed out. The man starts to leave. The bartender stops him and says, "Hey, you can't just leave that lyin' there." Then the man says, " It's not a lion, it's a giraffe."
