 What a ridiculous statement. I'm no fan of Thor, but I am a fan of good heroclix pieces, and there are lots from this set. If you have an Iron Man fetish, maybe this is the only fig you need from the set.
First of all, THINK before you speak SON. The only thing ridiculous is your sarcasm. Second, I'm a fan of good pieces AND comic accuracy. This piece can take out any asgardian (which is most of the set). Besides, you're just mad because you work at a fast food place and can't afford one of these.
Great piece although I wouldnt put it in my top 5 or probably even top 10 "must haves" from this set. And I certainly wouldn't say its the only fig worth having from the set like some are saying.
seriously, sometimes i question "some" people's ability to read. as I said before and I'll say the again: This fig is PROBABLY the only figure you'll ever need from the set. why did i say this? only because if you were to pull him, he pretty much annihilates every asgardian piece in this set if played right. is he a fig worth using in every team? probably not. But as far as this set goes and his avenger keyword, this piece is mad silly for his points.
I like this one,but outside the set of HoT, he can be beat up by alot of big pieces with great attack, super strength, and hypersonic. He was obviously made to counter the asgardians in the set, but he isnt the end all piece to have. I could see many of super-people crushing a dumpster or meterorite aside his head and crippling him in the way Hulk (aka Green Scar) did in World War Hulk.
I traded Lampost Bats for Thorbuster and I have not regreted it. I played him today, and he was great. If you have some perplexers and outwit, he can be effective against other non HoT figs. It takes a bit more strategy. He is a fantastic figure.

You sir, need to relax, the rest of the set is awful.
Why all the hate? Sure there are better figures for the points, but as far as an Iron Man goes, the Pulse Wave makes all the difference. I brought down Cosmic Spidey, and a Quasar with this guy. If you run him out there of course he'll get destroyed. Keep him back and utilize his range, and when the time is right, Pulse Wave away. And for a 300 Point team, add FCBD War Machine. If it's Golden Age, throw in In Contact With Oracle and Not So Special for a solid 300 points.
ok does anyone have one for trade, i got a LOT of SR Chase and whatever else but him and the Frog of Thunder i need and is willing to trade up for either or both
The beauty behind this piece is that almost every thor you come across has running shot or charge. You cant even touch him with running shot and if you charge in and hit him he's got exploit weakness with a +2 to his damage against you so he is in fact a force to be reckoned with at just 140 points!!!!
