I have always run an inspired West Coast Avengers Team with Dr. Pym and his wife:
Disco Iron Man with Stunning Blow 170
V FF Hawkeye 84
V Mockingbird 34
V Tigra 54
R Scarlet Witch 35
U Wasp 44
U IC Ant-Man 40
with 35 points for Thunderbolts brings you to 496.
With two 19+ DVs on the team, you just use Defenders and share the defense.
I have also ran the team without Thunderbolts and used Contigency Plan on Wasp. The free move Avengers TA means you always have a token to place on the card.
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.

It's just too bad that according to the Keywords, Wizkids doesn't recognize these great teams as Thematic. However, you can play Hal Jordan, Winter Soldier, and some Thunderers of Qward together and it's 100% thematic.
Tht's why everything I run (almost everything before Jarimy calls me out on it) is UNRESTRICTED...you think it deserves the key word, just prove it to me or sell me on it and bam, theme!
Any old school WCA team should be required to play short of the build total to represent their lack of a sixth member. That was one of my favorite things about that book, the no-respect, not-quite-as-good-as-the-Avengers vibe. A great foreshadowing to Hawkeye's Thunderbolts team.

So true but I thought that when they put out the keywords that they also stated that it would fall to the local judge and/or players to allow/disallow team keywords that they may have missed adding to figures. Meaning that you simply bring make your case to your local judge and he decides whether to allow or not allow a keyword team.

Thanks to the roster listings at White Rocket books, I've managed to compile a more concise rundown of the lineups for the West Coast Avengers by issues. Now since they haven't made Living Lightning or the Great Lakes Avengers into Clix, I've eliminated those from the list (which is a shame, as the roster Living Lightning was a part of lasted for 13 issues, the second longest running roster of the team's history).
Now here's the longest running roster of the team, the one most likely used for team builds:
Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Mockingbird, Tigra, Wonder Man (AWC 1-8, 10-22, Annual 1)
The following roster lasted ten issues. It's pretty much the same as above, just with Hank Pym thrown in there:
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Mockingbird, Tigra, Wonder Man (AWC 23-31, 38, Annual 2)
These rosters lasted six issues apiece:
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 69-74)
Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman II, USAgent, War Machine (AWC 97-101, Annual 8)
Rosters that lasted for four issues:
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Iron Man I, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 59-62)
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Moon Knight, Tigra, Wasp (AWC 33-36)
Dr. Pym, Human Torch I, Scarlet Witch, US Agent, Vision, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 50-52, Annual 4)
Dr. Pym, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, US Agent, Vision, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 45, 47-49)
Hawkeye, Iron Man II, Mockingbird, Tigra, Wonder Man (WCA 1-4)
Hawkeye, Mantis, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Wonder Man (AWC 39-41, Annual 3)
Lineups that were around for three issues:
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Human Torch I, Iron Man I, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 63-64, Annual 5)
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Quicksilver, Tigra, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 66-68)
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 42-44)
Dr. Pym, Human Torch I, Iron Man I, Scarlet Witch, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 53-55)
Goliath II, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman II, USAgent, War Machine (AWC 94-96)
Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman II, USAgent, Wonder Man (AWC 89-91)
Here's the lineups that only lasted two issues:
Dr. Pym, Human Torch I, Iron Man I, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 56-57)
Goliath II, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman II, USAgent (AWC 92-93)
And this leaves the following lineups that were only for single issues:
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Quicksilver, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 65)
Dr. Pym, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Tigra, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 32)
Dr. Pym, Human Torch I, Machine Man, Mockingbird, Quicksilver, Tigra, Wasp (AWC 83)
Dr. Pym, Iron Man I, US Agent, Wasp, Wonder Man (AWC 58)
Hawkeye, Iron Man I, Mockingbird, Thing, Tigra, Wonder Man (AWC 9)
Hawkeye, Mantis, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Wonder Man (AWC 37)
Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman II, USAgent, Wonder Man (AWC 88)
Scarlet Witch, Spider Woman II, USAgent, War Machine (AWC 102)

I have used Lightning Lad from the LoSH as a substitute dial for Living Lightning a couple times. Powers are similar enough, dial seems appropriate, and if he is only WildCarding the Avengers TA it works out pretty well. I may even have one painted up to look like Miguel.
Great article for a grreat, somewhat forgotten (at least around here in my country, where it was published during a long time but failed to gain some fan recognition) team.
Now, as being a primary DC fan, I'm waiting for the next article with great anticipation. I wonder what team it'll be? JLA Detroit?

Without figures of Steel or Vibe? I don't quite see it.
