How is this any different than a normal style of game that have characters that start with riduculous stats (like KC Green Lantern)?
There will always be power pieces in any format. If you are that worried about the Two Flashes, simply include a character with Poison. There are lots out there
Banning a character just because you've got difficulty defeating it isn't really solution... getting creative and figuring out how to defeat that character, now that's a solution!
aren't the days of 300 pt tournies pretty much gone? I haven't done anything like that in awhile 400-500 pretty much gives you the same amount of pieces you use to have in 300 pt games. my venue ran 500 pts during hot and the games basically all finished in the 45 minutes we've always been allowed. I know Hot had expensive clix but BATB is shaping up to be the same thing

We play 300 points pretty regularly. It is still technically the OP standard format and you can build some pretty awesome teams (even with big 200 guys) in a 300 point format.

I respectfully disagree. It is quite common at the two venues I frequent to see "theme" teams overflowing with low-point figures bringing their generic keywords to the table, even at 300 points.
On Topic: I prefer to run Bizarro tournaments at large point values specifically so that players can use larger point figures. Many of them have impressive back-dials that NEVER get seen....usually because those figures don't have impressive enough TOP dials.
