Hank McCoy jumps from wall to wall. "My oh my, look at the size of that Scorpion's sting. The spot where it's connected to the rest of the armor has to be pretty soft, to allow him to move that thing, wouldn't you say, fellow X-Forcers?"

Warpath nods, and with a swift movement jumps over Mako and grabs Black Scorpion by his tail, ripping it out of his armor.

"AARRGGHH!" the villain scream is joined by Warpath's, as the hero falls to his knees, after having touched the Scorpions poisoned tail.

Wolverine notices Mako's confusion, picks Warpath's machete from the water and throws it at the amphibian enemy. The blade perfurates Mako's shoulder, putting him unconscious. "Sigh...if you need a job well done...you have to do it yourself" Wolverine complains.

3) Wolverine fires at Mako. 10 vs 14. Rolls double-5 hitting Mako with 2dmg, 1 over the KO. 1SA, 1KO to Wolverine. 1dmg from Arachnos

Vanisher shakes his head, trying to get rid of Kalinda's control. Her hold is strong, but Vanisher's fear of the appearing Ghost is even bigger. He finds strength in that panic to pick Wolverine's arm and get out of the Arachnos duo reach.

They appear close by. "X, give us a help here. We have them surrounded" Wolverine shouts, accessing the situation. The crazier the odds, the better he likes it. And so does X-23, who jumps from the Avengers meeting table to join the melee.

Josh Foley looks at his friends getting into battle, against such heinous creatures, and wonders what he can do to help. "Domino, what can I do?"

"Here, take this weapon." Domino says, throwing him something that looks like it came out of a SF movie. "You have a better position than I do. My feet seems to be stuck in something underwater. Take a shot and make it count. You only have one."

Elixir picks it up and turns the switch to the higher level. He than aims at Black Scorpion, and fires what seems to be an electrical pulse that hits the enemy right in the chest. However, electric guns are not a great idea when there's nothing around you but water, and the resulting backslash goes through Elixir's body, harming him almost as much as he did the enemy.

free) Elixir perplexes his own dmg to 3.

1) Elixir pushes to psychic blast Black Scorpion. 9 vs 14. Rolls 5,6 hitting Scorpion with 3 dmg. 1SA to Elixir and 2dmg (push+arachnos)

Jean Grey concentrates and Warpath feels his body being pulled away from the battle. "James, I'm not a warrior, but I'd say it's time we retreat. It seems all our blows are backfiring at us."

"That's a good girl." jokes The Beast, as he leaps back near his friends, while throwing a dampening power device against Black Widow. "Look out for that Ghost Lady, Logan. She looks venominous!"

"What's the matter bub? Run out of words on the dictionary? Now you need to create new ones?"

1) Focusing all of her mental powers yet again, Kalinda vanishes in a flash, reappearing in M9. She takes 1 from the push

free) "Your future is clear woman, and it holds nothing... but pain!" Domino screams as she feels like a white-hot poker has been thrust straight through her brain! Kalinda outwits Domino's PC

2) Scorpion staggers on his feet, almost toppling from the attack before he recovers his balance and tries to advance. Scorpion rolls to break for a charge, roll is: 3 and he goes no-where... of course.

3) "Suffer now fool, suffer and DIE!" Recluse howls in fury, lashing out at Vanisher with a flurry of blows from his metal arms. Recluse flurries Vanisher. 9 atk. vs 15 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (2,5) for a 7 and a hit! Vanisher tries to fix that, second roll is: (3,5) for an 8 and still a hit! Vanisher takes 2 and Recluse strikes him again. Second flurry is 9 atk. vs 14 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (4,2) for a 6 and a hit! Vanisher takes 2 more and is KO'ed! 2 SA's, 1 KO and 1 for the push for Recluse!

Despite his best attempts to fade away in time, Vanisher simply isn't fast enough to match the inhuman reflexes of Recluse, and the razor-sharp spidery limbs slash him to the bone, colouring the water red as he falls!

"Don't worry, Domino. I have enough power-dampening gizmos to every arachnid we're facing. Your headache will be over in less time than it takes to dust off all my science-fair awards. You're lucky I'm here." Hank McCoy says, throwing another device against Kalinda.

"Yeah, that's me right here...lady luck. Jean, help me get closer to Wolverine. He's surrounded by women, and we know that usually doesn't turn out all right." Domino says, with a grin.

"I don't know what you're talking about but yes, I believe you should go give him some backup, now that Vanisher is gone." Jean lifts Domino in a TK bubble,throwing her down the corridor. Domino uses the momentum to dive into the water, gaining a few more meters. She surfaces near a table, around the corner.

Once again, to his growing rage and frustration, Logan finds himself trapped within an icy prison as the water around him freezes solid at Barracuda's command

Kalinda smiles coldly under her helmet as suddenly, for no obvious reason, Elixir screams in pain and drops to this knees in the dank water, clutching his head between his hands.

"You're mine now." X-23 says, grinning at Black Scorpion. With a back-flip, she slits Scorpions torso using her foot claw. A new electrical charge comes from Scorpion's armor, hurting X-23, just before he falls to the ground, KO.

1) X-23 flurry attacks Black Scorpion. 9 vs 11. Rolls 4,4 (once again, a double when using flurry. I do it all the time. Luckily this time I didn't need the second roll to KO). 2 dmg and the KO to Scorpion. 1dmg to X-23 due to Arachnos. 1SA, 1KO to X-23

Jean Grey user her TK power to get Beast closer to Kalinda. Beast takes a look at the villain, and a primal fear invades his soul. "I...I don't think so. Maybe I just go help Wolverine." Hank McCoy says.

"Less talk and more fight. Domino is in trouble back there, we need to go there, bub." Wolverine says, trying to slash Barracuda. But all he hits is the wall behind her, as she keeps evading his attacks.

"Sigh...you didn't need my help to make a foul of yourself, it seems. I wish I had helped poor Domino instead. I'm sorry for that, gorgeous albino one."

"I'll...ungh...laugh about it when you...get me out of this stupid mission..." Domino says, clearly affected by Ghost Widow.

free) "Struggle all you like mortal, your suffering will be the same!" Ghost Widow draws out more of Domino's essence and vitality with her ghastly powers. Domino takes a click from poison

free) Barracuda keeps her power focused on aiding her Lord and Master, perplexing Recluse's attack up to 9

1) "Even luck won't last forever against me!" Recluse unleashes another flurry of brutal blows on Domino. 9 atk. vs 14 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (4,1) for a 5 and just barely a hit! Domino PCs that, second roll is: (5,5) for a 10 and a hit with knockback! (See? I do it too!) 1 SA and 1 for the push for Recluse, 1 AST for Barracuda and 2 damage for Domino who's knocked back to R17

Another ferocious hail of blows rain down over Domino who is finally caught with a grazing blow across the chest, nearly cutting her to the bone and sending her flying away from Recluse in a bizarre twist of fate!

2) "You did not truly think it that easy to escape, did you?" Ghost Widow smirks and holds out her palm, firing a blast of hungry shadow-stuff at the dazed Domino. Ghost Widow shoots Domino. 8 atk. vs 13 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (4,2) for a 6 and a hit! Domino takes 1 and is KO'ed! 1 SA and 1 KO for Ghost Widow.

The blast of nether energies envelops the weakened Domino completely, and with a final whimper she collapses into the blood-stained water, too weak to remain concious any longer.

3) "You just don't learn do you? Pathetic creature!" Barracuda scowls and unleashes a punishing psychic howl aimed at Logan's mind. Barracuda incaps Logan. 9 atk. vs 17 def. Needs an 8. Roll is: (4,2) for a 6 and a miss as Logan shakes off her influence!

free) Kalinda reaches into Warpath's mind with contemptible ease and shuts off some of his baser motor-functions, making him drop the heavy piece of debris he was carrying. Kalinda outwits Warpaths's Super-strength and the HO is dropped.

Elixir reaches out again to Warpath, but Proudstar can't stay still. He jumps from the water, over Kalinda.

Meanwhile, Beast and Logan continue playing with Barracuda. Snikt! Snikety Snikt! Wolverine keeps on slashing everywhere except the enemy.

"This reminds me of a story..." Hank starts. "Stop me if you've heard this one before, Logan." But the blue furred scientist doesn't need the canadian to stop him. He does it by himself, after taking a look at Wolverine's eyes, closely going to berserk as he keeps missing strikes on Barracuda.
