Okay, that sculpt is an insult. Look at the original and then look at the finished product. This is why I refuse to get too excited about those 3D digital pictures Wizkids was showing us of the upcoming Blackest Night Starter Set. The prettiest 3D picture in the world is still just a picture. This is an example of what happens when you take a beautiful, real-world sculpt and rush it through Chinese production. Not only is the paint a mess, but most of the detail found in the original wasn't even scuplted into the final product.

And, I'm sorry, but it is time to stop blaming the past administration. Its time for the new Wizkids to step up to the plate and deliver a home run. This is not a home run. This is actually a step back from Hammer of Thor. I don't know of any figure in HoT that looks as poorly produced as this Gizmo piece.

So its "Kid Gizmo" in the end. My fearsome five will have Silvana in it, rather than Dr. Light and Jinx so outwit isn't needed (especially with Superman enemy team ability).

A for the SP I am guessing the following:

1. Support (Psimon and Silvana already have PB and Shimmer and Mammoth son't have range.

2. Exploit weakness (helps Mammoth and Shimmer)

3. Telekinesis, to reposition if Psimon pushed to be on PB

4. Running Shot, (Psimon, Gizmo and Silvana moving and shooting)

5. Steal Energy, why the heck not.

Just some thoughts anyway. The sculpt is meh, but sadly so are the other Fearsome Five sculpts.

Sadly, you can only use powers that are in the attack slot, so no EW, Support, or RS.

Ooops. I just re-read that.

79 points for a non carrying flier, with 9 attack and perplex. Ouch.

I realy like the pre paint sculpt pictures (thanks guys) - but the paint job on the preview figure looks very "flat" and loses most of the detail. Hopefully, the finished product will look better - they usualy do (well, appart from Karolina Dean, obviously...)

Im sorry but this fig for 79 points is a piece of garbage. Where's the ouwit if he so smart? I cant see how a SP that can be used once and only for one turn that takes up 3 slots, those stats and powers with 5 clicks, and a WC TA is worth 79 points.

Compared to say, the Robin or Batgirl from Crisis and it doesnt make sense to me.

Ill play a fearsome five team only if its a huge game of 1000 points cause theyll need 600 points worth of support.

Personally, I wait until I have the piece in hand before I'll complain about how it looks.

As for discussion around the "previous" vs "current" WK; IIRC BatB was pretty much in the can Sculpt-wise so I won't be judging the NECA-WK crew based upon how this upcoming set looks. Rather, I look to Blackest Night and Marvel 14 to see what NECA-WK is capable of.

What an odd thing to say. The lack of Outwit is dumb, but the way you phrased this it sounds like you have a personal beef with Gizmo.

I want to agree with you, I really do. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and all that.

But it is precisely because I want MV14 to be all kinds of awesome that I hope NECA-WK is listening to these early criticisms of BatB.

If we just accept sub-par sculpts and paint jobs now then NECA-WK has no incentive to make improvements for the future.

Hey, don't forget: this is the Realms, nothing is ever accepted wholly without comment, nor is there ever any shortage of folk offering to "incent" WK.

Im not to sure about this gizmo. A SP that can be use once per game for onc turn is somthing I may never use at all. I think some sort of mind controll as a free action aganist robot keyworded character would fit gizmop better. A SP similar to Arcade from M&M would have been better.
