"Well boys, lets get this fight going, standing around waiting isn't going to help anything." says Forge. He throws down his neural inhibitor, and races over to the corner of the building overlooking Superman. Pulling a new device out of his pocket he tosses it to the Kryptonian. "Inertial accelerator, push the button, and you'll get a little extra boost, it's going to hurt though." (push Forge to move to O5, perplex Superman's movement to 11)
AST to Forge
Clark nods, and looks up to Longshot, "I'll move in, as soon as you get into place. Longshot winks, and vaults down off the rooftop, and settles in next to the Dark Beast. (Longshot L/C to H13, PC any missed rolls by teammates, and hits rolled by opponents)
Superman looks at the little silver and grey box with a shiny red button offset amidst several blinking lights. "I sure hope this works" With the boost to his momentum, he soars over the barrier erected by Avalanche, and attempts to bury Magneto. The first attack bashes into the mutants skull, but Magneto had managed to reinforce his helmet with a magnetic barrier. Superman gathers himself, and hammers Magneto in the ribcage with the second boulder, driving him to his knees, and leaving him almost finished.
(Superman charges to I11, and flurries on Magneto. First attack, 12 on 17, need a 5 or better. Roll is 1,5 for a 6. Magneto rolls impervious needing a 5 or 6, roll is a 6. Damage reduced to 0. Second attack 12 on 17, needing 5 or better. Roll is 5,6 for 11. Theme team PC by Mystique, roll is 2,2 for 4, and misses. PC by Longshot, roll is 2,5, for 7. Impervious roll by Magneto is 1. Magneto takes 5 damage past impervious.)
SA for Superman. Does he get two, or one?
I'm guessing you want to use a theme team PC. If you don't, just disregard everything after the roll of 11. Sorry for all the confusion in the rolls. Should I reroll the impervious for Magneto? I did it out of turn due to forgetting you had theme PCs available. If you don't want to use the theme PC, I'll let it stand. If you want to use the theme PC, I'll reroll impervious for Mags.

Since Mags got the Imperv, you only get 1 SA and Forge gets 1 AST. However, if both hit, Forge would've gotten 2 ASTs. And Longshot gets and AST for making a miss into a hit. And Forge doesn't get the AST till the attack is successful.

So figs get SAs when an attack damages, not just when the attack hits. Also would Mystique get an AST when she made a hit into a miss, even though it got rerolled to a hit?

You get a SA when ever an attack has a result not necessarily damage (so you also get one for an incap, a heal or MC which dont normally do damage) but hitting the IMp roll is the equivalent of hitting SS and thgus it is as if the attack never happens
On the last question I am not sure the question if she made a hit and it got rerolled to still be a hit??? Well if it was a perplex of attack and with last roll she didnt no but if it was damage then yeah

clarifying a bit more on what mich is saying, when you intended attack does what it's supposed to do (ie deal damage, incap, mind control, etc.) you get an SA. With Mystique, it sounds like more of a DFD situation than an AST situation. If she perplexed up attack or defense down and it only hit because of that perplex, it would be an AST. Same works on the opposite, if you perplex up defense or perplex down someone's attack, and they attack and miss only because of the perplex, then Mystique gets a DFD.

I should have clarified that Mystique had used a theme PC to make a successful attack roll a hit, which Longshot in turn PCed to a successful hit. Longshot does get an AST, but does Mystique get one as well? She did make a successful attack turn into a miss.

Reason: put SA when meant AST

You mean Mystique used a theme Pc to turn a hit into a miss (that is where some confusion lies saying who did what)
The answer is no. It is only dependent on the final result.
So if Longshot had made it still miss she woudl earn not an AST but a DFD (you can never earn asts unless you are attacking)

mich is right. Look at mich...turning into a rules guru.
Ahhh, I see. Starting to get the big picture. Thank you rules gurus. *bows*
Now as far as using theme PCs goes, how do we take into consideration when they would be used? I worked it into my turn, but gave him the option to either use it or not. Is that okay?
Regular PC is easier because it is not a set number of times it can be used. I would like to think I'd know when someone would like to use one, but wouldn't want to be too presumptuous, especially since placing a token is involved.
Thanks for the help Tanis and Mich.

And this is how a great plan gets ruined by a stupid barrier mistake... The first idea was to place a barrier along the I line, but somehow I changed it... Good job, Superman! And game over... Let me just try to collect some more stats...

2) Scarlet Witch shoots Longshot, 9 vs 16. 4, 4 = 8 for the KO
1 SA, 1 KO to the Witch
3) Magneto tries to break away. Rolls 1, turned into a 4 by SW and moves to G14, dropping Mystique in G13
You'll need to clear, but I'll wait for your Perplex instructions

well I'm at work right now, with no computer access. I'll keep it short and sweet, but since this is on my phone, I can't do the map, so ignore the tokens on Forge and Superman.
Inhumans 3B
Forge and Superman clear, Forge perplex Superman's Def by +1 to 18.
Wanted to get this in quick because I'm not sure if I'll be able to tonight.
if avalanche barriered (even if it stopped one person from attacking), i believe he still shouldn't get a dfd, because supes came up and pounded the garbage out of magneto.
Not really but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while

As to Theme PC there are 2 ways to handle it
A) You stop and wait after every action see if they want to PC
or B) You can leave instructions if the number of PC options is not that difficult

I'm sorry for my delay. I've been burning my brain, trying to figure out a way to overcome that idiotic first mistake, but it's impossible. Who am I trying to fool here? There's just not much to do against such a beast like Superman.
And yes, I'll remove the DFD from Avalanche.
