Yeah, I probably wouldn't say anything if they tried to thunderbolt to Mystics. Then when they tried to make me take 2 damage, I would explain that they should have t-bolted to arachnos. Then I would evil laugh and move on.
If I make you a trade offer, even if you think it's ridiculous, please at least respond with a kind and simple "Thanks but no thanks."
Pulse Wave them. Simple. Just send out Nimrod/Ultron/Brainiac to single target Pulse Wave them. With a little Perplex, you can deal 7-8 Damage in a single strike. Trust me, your opponent won't like that every much
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........

I forgot that one! And, if your opponent is using T-bolts, then there's no reason why you can't use Nova Blast.
Is anyone else sick of players Thunderbolting to Mystics especially when using Thor/Loki so you taje 2 damage everytime you attack them? I refuse to use this tactic due the high cheese factor but some people do it everytime. What are your thoughts? I wish they would errata this possibility.
Normally yes, it is a bit...but not for this Duo. They're 362pts! With T-Bolts they're 367pts! This mean that at 400pts you have what...a Fire Demon as your back-up?
Do you realize how many options an opponent has in that game?

You'd need to add Armor Piercing to make that third one stick.
This also brings T&L to 385pts...yeah. Even in a 1,000pt game they're still rocking more than a third of your force.
So no, in this case it in no way constitutes as Cheese.
WizKids GamePlay, "You can only play our game if you buy the new stuff. Those old figures are dirty and obsolete."
Record vs VGA d1sc1pL3: W-3 L-0
Thor and Loki with Thunderbolts (Arachnos/Crossgen), Damage Shield and Camouflage. That's 385 points. That's not cheese. The player is getting what they're paying for. 385 points in one character should dominate. It's supposed to ridiculously hard to deal with. Learn how to do it.
Skrullowjacket, Time Trapper, Pulse Wave, Dissent and Disbanded can all get rid of the team abilities.
Thwart can get rid of Thunderbolts, Damage Shield and Camouflage. You can also just use Outwit on their Shape Change to get rid of Camouflage.
Psychic Blast with ample ways to boost attack, damage and range values is probably going to be your best friend in getting damage through, but keeping them tied up with someone who has Exploit Weakness can go a long way, too.
And/or fight fire with fire. Run some Mystics of your own. Every time he hits you, he'll take one as well. With 400 points, you should be able to get plenty of Mystics (and wild cards) on your team.
Take out the rest of his team first (if any) then use Deadman or Jericho to take control of Thor and Loki.
If he likes to have some blocking terrain for his Camouflage then give it to him: Icicle with Construct.
Plenty of options.
Here's a team consisting of only Commons in the Modern Age...
Secret Invasion (Skrull) Yellowjacket, 100 pts.
Secret Invasion Sharon Carter, 50 pts.
Arkham Asylum The Question, 37 pts.
-Mercenary (S.H.I.E.L.D. via Sharon Carter), 20 pts.
Arkham Asylum The Riddler, 90 pts.
-Dissent, 18 pts.
Gotham City Detective, 27 pts.
Gotham City Detective, 27 pts.
Gotham City Detective, 27 pts.
396 pts.
As long as you move and position the team correctly:
1) Thor and Loki will not have either team ability plus you can counter Hammer and Glamer to get rid of Shape Change+Camouflage and prevent them from moving and attacking.
2) Yellowjacket can hit their maximum defense of 16 at any given time from 8 squares away with a 13 attack and 7 penetrating damage without taking Mystics/Crossgen/Arachnos damage.
3) Yellowjacket can cancel Giant Man to hide behind the Gotham City Detectives during Thor and Loki's turn so they can't retaliate on him.
4) You get bragging rights for kickin' the snot out of Thor and Loki with a bunch a Commons.
But if you want something easier, taking from the suggestions above:
Hammer of Thor Ultron, 174 pts.
Mutations and Monsters Jean Grey, 90 pts.
-Compel, 15 pts.
Mutations and Monsters Marvel Girl, 40 pts.
Secret Invasion Gee, 40 pts.
Mutations and Monsters Fabian Cortez, 61 pts.
If you get a high roll with Fabian's Power Amplification (using it on Ultron's damage), you can take Thor and Loki out in one turn.

This isnt Modern Age...With the feats its golden Age.
Thinking he meant Modern Age figures only.
We should also note that Thoki is most likely gonna get massively outactioned in a 400 game.Picture it: two cheap Incapers with Willpower. They may not be able to hurt the indomitable Thoki but the can sure shut him down cold for the rest of the game while your Big Guns kick a little Asgard.
Well considering that they are a mystic they cant be thunderbolted to mystic. so anytime you play against it you only take one.
they can thunderbolt to crossgen or arachnos and do two.
So you run into a thunderbolt to mystics just tell them it's against the rules.
i asked the main arbitrator about the ruling and he said you can do it no problem, thunderbolts grants you a different team ability than avengers, so you can double up on mystic and cross gen, or arachnos.
My son cheesed up this thoki... but we were playing cheese on purpose just for the fun of it.....
hitting thoki would have given me three feedback damage..... So I MC'd his Ms Skrullville to go thump thoki with a heavy and let her take the feedback (nerfing her), then I ran up with my Green Scar and another heavy and finished him off (think it took two turns) but Green Scar just likes feedback damage (sick little pup). He looked so sad having to click his thoki and then click his Ms Skrully (Muhahahahahaha)

You know team abilities are optional, right?
