Chases suck. they sucked at first, they suck now, they suck in the future. every time it sucks, I get to say the word 'suck'.

Yeah, but the thing is, everything that was invented to counter complaints have been invented....it's 2010, no one can invent anything anymore because, I guess since the invention of the internet to keep people from complaining about dial up.....there's no more solutions or inventions to curtail the CURRENT trend in complaining. LOL

I've started this reply numerous times, and gettier more pissed off as I write this. When I started my thread earlier about making chases easier to get, I was making a suggestion, not bellyaching. I was taking about a huge population of this country who are out of work right now, and I'm sure some of those people play Heroclix. For your information I buy 2-3 cases a set and have a couple chases. I was actually thinking of people who may be less fortunate than me. If you don't like that take a running leap. . .

I like chases, I like that I got Zombies that I can play in Horrorclix, I like that I got an Alfred that totally rocks, I am EXTREMELY happy to have a Thor Frog of Thunder as a fig, I am ok to have 2 cool supermen, and I am OVERWHELMED about having 2 awesome batmen...I like them because they were made and this is how we got them, I don't like them because I have them and other people don't, I don't like them because they are more valuable than other heroclix, I like them because they are cool just the same as I like my 70+ Bouncing Boys, because they are cool...

I have every chase figure and play them frequently at my venue with only 10 year olds and underprivileged children. And I buy a 2nd booster during drafts just in case I pull a god pack so I can use my back up pack instead.

Honestly I don't mind them. Basically in my mind they aren't any harder to pull than an average super rare. That is something that has bothered me. I miss the days of buying a case and getting a set. If it had a chase or not didn't matter one way or the other.

On a different note I don't see why people have such a big problem with them. They made non-chase(ie. SR's) harder to get and it seems like very few people had a problem with that.

The OP made a thread that is basicly trolling on ppl stating their opinions. If youre fine with Chases, great, say it out loud, but don´t belittle the efforts of other people who don´t share your point of view and, in their opinion, try to change the game for the better. Try to get ppl on your side, without throwing stones and saying that "talk is useless, and you complain because your childish", which you didn´t said, but implied. If you want ppl to "quit complain", next time, try to close the forums and sway their opinion to your side for that "great cause", because if we can´t voice our opinion here, this forum is as useless as OWK forum was.

I find the Rarity of SRs still within the acceptable range.

The over emphasis on pulling two figures in a set, and usually one of the two... dilutes the values of figures in the rest of the set. Its not opinion. You can track it. Go look the prices up. I'll wait. See?

what it really hurts is the trading values. that's an important part of the metagame~!

I believe Unleash had the Bat Sentry as the first chase.
But in Unleash, Legacy, and Mutant Mayham, it was one chase per case. There was only 1 chase. Then there was a long period without chases.

Then chases came back at high odds with Supernova and Origins.
Then no chases in Avengers, Justice League, and Mutantions & Monsters.

Then the chases came back with Crisis.
So there has been dry spells without chases.
But when people complain about chases they are usually refering to chases in Supernova and sets after Supernova.

I don't think chases suck. I like the few I have managed to get. I'm not some spoiled child where I have to stamp my feet and hold my breath because I might not get something.

Well it used to be when you bought a case you got one of all the figures considered SR. So I don't find it acceptable. This is why I give a rats ### about the rarity of chase figures. I've pulled a chase when there were SR's I would have much rather had.
