It's tough to say who I would like better out of Kid Zoom and Inertia. On one hand you have a guy who can use his ability to effect everyone within 6 squares, or another who can effect anyone with hypersonic...
Honestly after going against Inertia a few times, I'd have to say Kid Zoom my be more useful, since you have to *start* in Inertia's 6 square range to have it take effect. That cuts out most chargers from getting too close, and some HSS characters, but otherwise not super effective.
At least with Kid Zoom you're guaranteed a monopoly on HSS (so long as it's not outwitted), which could help win you the game.
It's become pretty clear that you either don't actually play this game or someone has paid you to bad mouth anything dealing with the Flash. I would spit on you if I could but spit does not travel via internet. Tell your Flash hating friends that are paying you off that I hate them to.
Love,
Wally
Oh, I love the Flash, and HSS is great when you can build around it, but there's just too many faults IN SEALED events to make the speedsters stand out this time around. Seriously, I'd love to see an opponent bring Black Flash versus my Metallo. Even if I could not race down the Flash, I'd run the clock out and win on points. It's that simple. The reviews aren't over yet.

I used the Wizard Shazam in a 400pt team with BLMM and White Knight. My opponent was using the stealth heavy League of Assassins, but even without getting as many shots off as I'd have liked the Wizard was worth his points for the PC anywhere alone!
As you mentioned, though, the beauty of this piece is that if your opponent wants to get rid of that huge ranged penetration, they have to harm themselves and even then the Wizard just gets better.
When I used the Wizard he did well, but I got rocked off my top click by a one shot attack that dealt 6 damage (I even PC'd it!). He was still a beast, but my opponent chased me down and pushed when I had two tokens to finish me. It's interesting how a point build total can change a rating. Some figures will do better in 400 than 300, so take my 300 point reviews with a grain of salt.

Agreed with Metallo and Manhunter, they are certainly 'first looks' in sealed.......the Choco King has already won for me in some friendly sealed game of 300 pts.

I agree, if Black Flash doesn't have at least an outwitter (and one that can stay safe) he would just be annoying. But with an outwit or two he is capable of alot. I played him in a sealed 400 pts and he compleatly demolished a Green Lantern & The Flash and then quickly wrecked the rest of team.
But that was with the right support. A seems spot on to me.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
I once again agree with the general consensus that Kid Zoom is better than you have given him credit for.
His Stop! special doesn't require line of sight and with one of the highest movements in the set, will be sure to put the pressure on from anywhere on the map. I understand you have a problem with his damage and point value, but these are far outweighed with his stats. You may miss a few attacks with a 9 but the movement will make sure you have plenty of opportunities to get the job done. Watch your opponent's face when you pull this piece out. That look alone shows you how valuable he his.
Also Metallo you give a 5 . But his point value is sooo high! I agree on a 400 pt team he is amazing, but he would easily lose a shield for that 182 price point.
Once again it may come down to play style, but Kid Zoom was an amazing piece that helped shut down my opponent.

Love the reviews and some extra insight into the dials. I think you're pretty much bang on for a 300 point sealed event so no qualms about the scores.
Though it is nice that my friends and I generally play 300+ point unrestricted games so I can love my Black Flash a lot more than I would in this format. :D I can't wait to see their faces when I lay him out on the map on Wednesday (possibly as part of a speedster team featuring my beloved Zoom and Kid Flash).
"BFF’s Brainiac and Luthor want to get the party started! Their Uber-taxi may not see much play in a sealed event, but making a Transporter attack with a full 10 range gives them a whopping 18 swing, earns respect. Duo ability with 4 damage and 10 range should make the Brain and the Bald feared on the map, especially if they can add some Enhancement or Perplex to boost the damage. The fearsome twosome start with a crunchy robot shell, but quickly fade to soft flesh, and those bare 15’s don’t inspire much late dial confidence."
Soo funny Anony! i wish you brought this humor into some of my Mafia games! (why don't you sign up for my stuff!) Kidding!
I love the reviews and I agree with you 100% on all off them.
i personally would never use etrigan buy himself, but jason blood ->etrigan id use espically if jason was the last person or one of the last people on my team. that blades, mixed w/ perplex and prob is very useful at that point. i cant wait to run an all speedster team (minus kid zoom) w/ black flash and zoom

I wish you could not post such rubbish on here. if you wanna live in a fantasy world where paying 150 pts for 2 damage is good then go ahead. (since Black flash is the only one on here i assume you are talking about him)
My Boy anony here is telling you what you should keep in mine in SEALS!
After playing 2 300 point sealed events, here are my 2 cents.
I agree with Inertia being better than Kid Zoom. Inertia's Stop! power gets rid of HSS, but I was able to use Inertia's Slow Down power to shut down HSS, Charge, Running Shot, and any movement out of hindering. Yep, Batman and Green Arrow, when you try to running shot out of hindering you have a movement of 1. Blue Beetle and Booter Gold, you can't quite reach anyone with a charge range of 3.
Metallo played pretty well, but he gets torn apart by the HSS bricks and a little outwit, even with Cave Carson lugging him around.
Wizard Shazam should rate . The main complaint in this set is the low attacks compared to high defense. With his prob control from anywhere it gets even worse. For the final game yesterday I went 2-0. There was one other player that went 1-0. I had the victory point advantage when we played the last game, all I had to do was KO one of his characters for the win. With 9/10 attacks trying to hit 17/18 defenses, I rolled miss after miss after miss. I lost 3 out of 5 characters before I finally KO'd his Amazon (using Outwit and Perplex the entire time). It was one of the most frustrating games I've ever played.
I do think that the Wizard might warrant a full five shields. The AVs in this set, as everyone knows, are pretty low, so his un-outwit-able PC and 18DV should help you avoid taking that first big hit for a while. And of course, that second power set paired up with the Q is just absurd.
I played a team with both Wizard Shazam and Etrigan (as the Alter-Ego of Jason Blood) to victory in sealed. Only one player hit the Wizard at all (a 10 AV charge from an Amazon).
The flip side is that the Wizard has a hard time hitting opponent's himself. Even with two PC, I missed my first 10 or so attacks with the Wizard, even when rolling 8's and 9's (lots of 17 + CR, 18+ESD/terrain)
It will be hard to play the Wizard Shazam in sealed, because opponents can try to get ahead on points and simply hide from a Wizard "Trapped on the rock".
Love reading your reviews on the new sets for sealed events. They really help out when deciding.
Played a sealed event last night and with what I pulled I was able to go 3-0.
My team was Wizard Shazam, Bruce Wayne with the Batman AE (actually got to do it in the last game.), Diana Prince, and a Checkmate Knight Black.
Out of two games I was able to get the Knight to deal 5 dmg (enhancement from Shazam.), and that crazy across the board Prob. was a huge pain for all of my opponents.
My team was more than able to defeat a Metallo team (Mslle Marie and Diana Prince.), and I was able to take down a Martian Manhunter team as well (Clark Kent w/Supes AE (he got to use it as well), Checkmate Knight Black)
The only damage Shazam took was from 2 crit misses on my part. He's a beast!!! Definately deserves the 4 out of 5 rating.
Great review as always. I agree with the usefulness of the cookie manhunter and the wizard shazam. Defensively "Cookie-hunter" is just amazing, having shape change and the ability to boost his defense by +3 fits the character perfectly.
For Wizard Shazam, He's just asking to be played at range. His all seeing probability control is thematic and the second half of his dial is just dangerous.
