I've been looking for years to get my hands on a copy of the two-sided HeroClix/HorrorClix map which was sent out to retailers. It's got the Armor Wars map on one side and I think a Mortuary on the other side. No one ever has it for trade, and I check several times every week on eBay to no avail.
But if people will pay it, how is it 'criminal price-hiking'?
Supply and Demand.
I don't see it as 'criminal price hiking' either, more like ignorance on the sellers part. I see it all the time on E-Bay. Check for a figure (any figure, it doesn't matter which) and someone will have it listed as $29.99 BIN, scroll down the page, and another seller has it listed for $9.99 BIN Huh? Why in the sam hill would anyone pay the $29.99, when this other guy can't even get rid of it for $9.99?
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
So, would IC be a 58 figure set (1 of each sculpt including the U's)? Would you drop the "Duplicate" Us? (Wasp, Elektra, Prof X, Juggernaut, Cyclops and Captain America, Wolverine and Spider-Man). Make the Duplicated Us as LE prizes?
Hypertime would be a 50 figures set, with "duplicates" of Joker, Catwoman, Flash, Batman and Superman as Us (I know the Flash is a different Flash)
Would you repaint different costumes on a selection of figures to bring the totals up to 60? Make multiple versions of some of the generic pieces?
I think it would make for an interesting set, if they made them with new dials and didn't just reprint them. Universe showed that sets reprints don't sell that well. I think the new smaller packs are doing a bit better because they are targeting specific TV/movie events

But are people actually paying those prices? I see what I would consider "overpriced" figs listed as Buy It Now, but they seem to always be listed by the same sellers. If people are willing to pay that much, than that's great for the seller. However, if it isn't selling, why list it for so much?
Seeing how hard it is for people to get HoT Cap, I'm tempted to sell mine now.

It's true. I've been selling things on ebay for a few weeks now, and there IS a difference in what is been charged and what is actually been paid for. That's what research is for.
I'd keep the Cap, though. He'll be hard to get for you later down the road should you change your mind.
I'd like to get the SI F4 LEs but they are all selling for $20+ each, which is outrageous. Same goes for the new Lantern batteries. Pure criminal price-hiking on those things. No, I do not want to pay $40 a piece for them Mr. Ebay Seller. Honestly, I wouldn't pay $10 a piece for a little piece of plastic that I won't play every game.
Shoot, maybe I should have sold the green lantern I just won Monday instead of giving it away (one of the guys I play with all the time there was complaining he hadn't gotten any of the lanterns yet, I've already got the yellow and black, and mostly just want red now, so I gave it to him). Nah.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Between auctions here and e-bay, I got sniped so many times it was ridiculous. If I could "buy" him, at the time, it was at a price well above double what even I valued him at. To make matters worse, TWICE I won auctions for him only to get screwed by sellers. Then I had a trade on here with popinjay that screwed me AGAIN.
Needless to say, when I finally worked out getting him, I pretty much dismissed it until the day he actually arrived in my mailbox.

Can you give me a more detailed description of this item? I mean is it the fairgrounds? Thats the only one I am sure of that was Heroclix/Horror Clix. Perhaps if you can identify it I may be able to help.
More to the point I am very willing to help any others locate what they are seeking to find, if they will reciprocate. Any traders on here can contact me and I will do my best to assist them, if they will do likewise.
