But isn't this just a clear case of use vs. possess? Giant Stride does not give the character the Carry ability. It only allows the characters to use the Carry-ability when given a move action.
and like the Double Pounce ability from Bat&Cat, even if their Duo is outwitted, they still get to use Duo with Double Pounce...
Double Pounce
"Batman and Catwoman can use Leap/Climb. When Batman and Catwoman are given a move action, after the movement is complete Batman and Catwoman may use the Duo Attack ability as a free action."
"GIANT STRIDE This character ignores the effects of hindering, elevated, and outdoor blocking terrain on movement and may move through squares adjacent to or occupied by opposing figures. This character adds 1 to its d6 roll when breaking away. When this character is given a move action, if it has zero action tokens, it can use the Carry ability.
the may and can might make a difference, but the use/possess wording is the same, AFAIK.
I miss? PC it. You hit? PC it. I hit? I can do better, PC anyways. You miss? I DIDN'T SEE SNAKE EYES, PC IT!

Yup. As weird as it sounds, this is true. (It's also why the Blue Lantern got errata, so i would not surprise me to see B&C get similar treatment.)

Sure, they naturally get the Duo Attack ability via the symbol.
This power is not dependent on that, though.
Imagine this was put onto a Spiderman.
"Web Leap
Spiderman can use Leap/Climb. When Spiderman is given a move action, after the movement is complete Spiderman may use the Duo Attack ability as a free action."
Would you say that this power is worthless on Spidey because he doesn't have the Duo Attack naturally? No. The power would let use it regardless of whether he has it elsewhere.

Well, it wouldn't work, because the figure's name would no doubt be Spider-Man, not Spiderman.
