You silly goose, I carried this from the other thread because I agreed with you and wanted the RAs to agree with us.
PS Grammer jerk alert ... you meant affected right. ;D
Heh...well, you should have told me so then!
And I'm not sure if I meant affected or effected. Its always foggy when I use the two and it only really matters when its used in writing because phonetically, they sound similar enough that its possible to hear one and mistake it for the other.
And I'll be watching this thread closely.
Also to the RA and RD's please see my Dr. Strange Example in the thread I linked to in my above post. Dr. Strange can use Brilliant Tact while he is on a Wands of Watoomb click, which means he is using Perplex. Otherwise Brilliant Tact wouldn't activate. Source of the standard power is irrelevant to whether it is, or isn't, being used, imo.

Um, Brilliant Tactician never says it has to be STANDARD perplex. Blackest night does make this distinction.
i can see everyones point but the entire concept of a special is that it isn't the standard power.
Funny, as this seems to be a case where comic book logic would actually work.
Per Wiki:
"Paradoxically, indigo light has the ability to heal individuals with great empathy and also to expose people to pain they've inflicted on other people."
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

But then we'd have to explain why a Kryptonite heart kills Batman and robin and has no effect on Superman. Maybe they meant Earth-a-nite (also known as a garden style rock)

Yeah, yeah, I know...
I'd just like to see things like this made concrete from the get-go.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
I disagree with this.
"STANDARD POWER: A power or ability whose effects are described on the Powers and Abilities Card."
He uses Support which is a power whose effects are described on the Powers and Abilities Card.
Ah, but "INDIGO COMPASSION" is not listed on the PAC, which is the power he's using.
I'm prepared to be wrong about this... but I think Special Powers were intended to be exempt.
I'm thinking of the Ruling on Ambush, though I see how this is different because of the wording of the BFC in question, but since the BFC doesn't say that the character cannot be healed by characters Using the standard powers... just that they cannot be healed by standard powers.
So while Stealth is countered by Ambush, Special Powers that grant the use of Stealth are not countered (nor is the Stealth use somehow countered).

Well, I'd actually say that a Special Power allows a character to do something that no standard power would allow characters to do. In Atom's case he can use a standard power (Support), but always has a 12 attack.
So it allows a figure to use a standard power with one modification.
In any case, as I've said in the other thread, I've said my peace and will await an official ruling on this.
Let me toss this out there for people saying that Atom can heal people...
Quote
Two-Man Justice League: Once during yor turn, as a free action you may choose a standard damage power that no other character on your force currently possesses or can use. The Flash and Green Lantern can use that power until the beginning of your next turn.
Would you say that Flash and Green Lantern can choose Support if Atom is on the same force?
I'm not sure how this should be ruled, but does
Rip Hunter add any precedence?
His SP prevents Standard Powers from being
Outwitted, but you you can still Outwit the SP,
even though it grants him the use of Standard
Powers. Presumably because
it is considered a SP and not Standard Powers.
