Yeah, how could ANYONE overlook his entire 2 clicks of Impervious, and his AMAZING 2 range--WITH ENERGY SHIELD/DEFLECTION to boot! Boy this guy is just so good, I wish he wasn't unique so I could use multiples of him....:tired: I really don't understand people who claim he can be good, if used VERY WELL. Power Ring, if used well, can be useful--so that argument isn't saying much. If he had Combat Reflexes, or if he had 6 range I'd argue he isn't too bad. But the fact he has 2 range and a contradictory ES/D is laughable. Not to mention his attack values. 10-11-10, after that he won't hit. Terror of the Gods would be good if it was Psychic Blast, because he'd have 8 range, and be able to benefit from the Yellow Lantern, but no. It's Pulse wave, for 4 range there is a ton of options that are better. Then The Blackest Night, look through the units, take your time. How many pieces have a decent last click to do something? 10? 15? Sure it's cool, but ultimately useless. This piece if beyond sad, in no way shape or form does his dial work well, and I salivate when I see him at the other end of the table, because normally it turns out to be someone excited about The Blackest Night, which they realize isn't as good as they hoped.

Nekron is unique in the fact that he is the only figure with 2 range on a Mind Control. Even figures with 0 range with Mind Control have more range (b/c you replace 0 with 4 for the power). This wouldn't bother me if he didn't have so much Mind Control present on his dial.
@JRZn32; Perhaps you are correct, maybe I should play against younger/newer players more often to impose my superiority. I am glad you brought this to my attention, otherwise I would have surmised you played with veteran players.

if he was a giant he'd be perfect.. he could stand behind one of the Black Lantherns and outwit.. then when people based the lantern meat shield.. he attacks over them..
basically a mobile outwitter.. but not bad up close eaither..

I love the idea, but the execution falls flat for one reason: the two range. Nekron has some of the shortest MC reach in the game, failing to be outclassed only by MC figures with Battle Fury. He's pretty good otherwise though. He's got a generally high capacity for violence, and his SPs are accurate. His AV Stumbles a little for his cost, but he regenerates onto high level damage reduction almost every time. An Indom would make up for the 2 range blunder, but eh. I'd take a 0, 3 or 4 instead of the 2. Also, I'd like to KO Halle Berry Catwoman near Nekron for the laughs. Just saying...
I would like to see how playing him against a team using Big Figure would go. You kill their fig, they get a free attack, but now the dead figure is yours. Might make an interesting game.

LOL!!! The greatest thing about this clix is the sculpt, but man what a sculpt! His super power mechanic leaves something to be desired. Like maybe making generic pieces that you can drop down when you kill someone worth no points in a certain distance from nekron. or have these generics on different dials depending on what die roll you make. that would make nekron worth playing... being able to spawn small generic figs with random powers. then when you kill them it would be worth some points... maybe... anyways those are my two cents on this guy
How about a remake using a SP similar to Larfleeze's constructs, only Nekron's Zombies would appear with every KO? And let's bump his dial up to the 220 range, give him a giant damage symbol and some range.
Only I doubt it will ever happen because we are done with The Blackest Night now. Oh well... I'm still going to dream of yet another Anti-Monitor colossal set, this time as the Black Lantern power battery with a remake of Nekron and BL Aquaman in place of those generic soldiers that encouraged multiple Anti-Monitor sales.
Playable, but too many flaws to be a truly groundbreaking figure (notably the 2 range and the lack of TA : how can a Dark God be not Quintessence [avoiding Outwit would make it clearly a more interesting figure] or Mystics?).
Not mentioning the shame that its Guardian (= Scar) is damn more powerful than him. As it is, it's more an esay to get 146 points with a big target painted on his belly for your opponent than the terror it is in the comics.
The sculpt rocks, but that's all that's worthy in Nekron...No way I could trade a Trigon for him in an Evil Deity team.
Hal Jordan White Lantern does his job better unfortunately. With some Tk, Hal can throw the two BL in for nasty surprise, and the EW of KAL-L will ignore defenses anyway. Black Hand makes sure it hits, and MM can HSS to run about hitting them, carrying the lantern for good measure.
Poor Nekron here doesn't have much going for him except the wonderful sculpt. I still wish that Wizkids/Neca would change something about him, but it doesn't look like it'll happen. 8 range or Quintessence TA would have made him better and a combo of both would make him a beast for the points.
I've seen him played once and only once. He had Kal-L and Zombie Manhunter as bodyguards and he murdered everyone! The key is to make them come to you. That way, his zombies soften you up before he kills you. If he's taken enough dmg to get to that special RISE power, you are in serious trouble. Imagine having Black Bolt on his last click....PW and 5 Damage!

Ok i know pretty much everyone hates on this guy. The comments all run along the same theme- great sculpt, horrible range, no TA, no giant symbol, needs remake. And I agree on all those points. But I also know, that played right, on the right team, this guy is every bit of a dark god. No giant damage symbol, thats ok, TK works great on him. Horrible range, thats ok too, Mind Control automatically gives you a 4 range when using MC and with the violet lantern, while not the ideal lantern to use with an undead god, will increase that range to 6. The lack of a TA is crappy but if ur playing old school u can use the Mercenary feat. My only gripe about him is I feel he should have some Mastermind and a SP that allows him to not take MC damage. All in all I love this guy, mainly to be used with atleast one other Black Lantern fig but is doable without them. Good Feats: Mental Shields, Nova Blast, Vamprism and/or Auto Regen.
