I would just like to say NO to alpha reprints. (Excluding oracle and maybe alfred)
and Bane!... and hey look, there he is! yay! i had way too litle interest in the kiddy batman set, but i wanted those few figures, not enough to blind buy boosters or to pay the ridiculous amounts asked for them on ebay. I'll happily buy at least the pack with bane in it.
I wish wizkids would figure out that these battle packs could be a great success if they gave these old sculpts new dials. But Im in no hurry to pick up these figs with totally unplayable dials from hypertime ect.

A. It's safe to assume that these already are a success or they wouldn't keep making them.
B. They are for NEW players/casual fans. The battle packs are a good way to get new players into the game. They are easily affordable and Wizkids can make them with low overhead costs.
C. They get some good figs back into Modern Age. (Nick Fury, Iron Man, Joker, Black Widow, etc.)
Even without TAs, Batman Alpha dials are a heckuvalot more playable than Hypertime dials.
Agreed!

Don't forget "D. Time spent designing new dials for existing/old sculpts takes away from time spent designing new dials for new sculpts."

E) WK is already putting out at least one new product (new dials/sculpts) a month for the rest of the year, be it expansions, action packs, starter, etc. So the experienced player already has plenty of stuff to buy without crossing into the realm of possibly putting too much product out in a short amount of time. That's been a concern in the past (5th anniversary year with its four expansions, or the Icons year).

May I add:
D. It would be a good idea if they could work in some sweet reprint generics into (cheap) battle packs, such as Shadow Demon and Qwardian Thunderer, for example
Part of me thinks that if there was, in addition to the Classics packs, a secondary, maybe even direct-marketed Classics Card Packs, that's they'd bolster sales. I'm not interested in figures I already have, but for what can't be anything near a high price, if they released a pack once every few Classics releases of all of the preceding packs' cards [sans figures], I'd pretty much across the board snap that up. Cards are pretty much the only way I keep track of keywords, and are a nice quick way of reminding you who's Modern and who's not [not that it's hard to figure out].
Still... card packs. It literally can not be much to produce something like this. [Getting it into stores, probably expensive. But an extra run of just the cards and an afternoon for an intern to design the packaging? Negligible.]

Fixed that for ya.

Is this confirmed?
Because if they are simply reprints - I have no interest. You can by hypertime clix for pennys on the dollar. But if they are hypertime with new dials - color me tickle pink and I will have another!
