This guy is just plain mean in sealed. You will most likely be able to use his trait almost every time you pull him. He has powers to deal with everything with Psychic Blast and Pulse Wave, and has a really good dial overall. They even put his White Run on the dial! Noh-Varr will more than likely be seeing alot of play from me in the future with this solid dial.
Logan:I'm an X-Man and on 2 Avengers teams.
Mockingbird:How the hell do you do that?
Logan: Multitasking. Its my mutant power. Dont tell anyone.
Played This guy, Solo, and X-23 in the release for a PERFECT 300pt. team. He was my MVP and nothing gave me any problems all night. I will be using this guy ALOT and have a good feeling I will aslo see alot of him. Wicked piece that has the perfect point value.
This guy can mop up most of the WoS set. I like that he changes into different options every few clicks. I don't know who he is, but I am already in love with him.
Amazing click that carries teams. Is he comic-accurate? I'd say he's a bit more powerful than I'd expect but not much. In comics he is a beast, he's just so conflicted all the time that he rarely goes all out.
My favorite in the set. He's a dangerous range combat attacker up front and even after getting hit, he still has HSS as an option. Solid dial and very playable.
Noh-Varr is a huge threat with several devastating options. Psychic Blast and Pulse Wave means penetrating damage no matter what, and when he's been hit he switches gears and becomes a decent HSS attacker. I really like the design of this figure.
Can anyone tell me if you lose theme team rights/privileges if you choose to take away his keywords? It's the "as you reveal your force" that I'm getting snagged on... Any help is appreciated! Thanx!!
Yes you lose all key-words and as such lose all theme team bonuses. This is the trade off, do you want theme, or do you want the +1 attack. Choose now! Hehe actually, you can choose each game. If you think the theme is more important use that, if the opponent has high def, then grab the +1 (if Noh-var is your main attacker).
Sigh... I wish I had something clever or witty to put here...
Other than Nightcrawler, I'd say this piece is the best in the set. It is rare to find such a solid power set. Running shot with both pulse wave and psychic blast options is amazing. Good numbers throughout, and traitor is amazing if you are playing competitively and not going for a theme. He even drops into hypersonic/SS and then finishes with perplex, more psychic blast, and then regen. All for a nice mid range cost of 141. Really couldn't ask for more from a play standpoint, and this piece will definitely be getting tons of use by me until retired.
Great fig. He can take on bricks and tanks from range with PB and EE, close in and hit ANYONE with Pulse Wave, and after taking 3 or 4 damage he can still deal 5 damage and scurry back to safe spot. End dial he is helping teammates and using Phasing/Regen to stay out of trouble while he gets back onto his good clicks.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
Noh-Varr/Marvel Boy/Protector here is really just stupidly good, without being overpowered. He has TWO ways to deal penetrating damage at range, as well as two ways to deal with swarms at range. Add in his extreme mobility, solid defense and consistent numbers and he is a great figure.
I have used him quite often, and even with Inside Information, I just can't seem to make him work (usually due to bad luck). I only had one good game with him, and he lived up to his potential, dealing 16 clicks with Pulse Wave over the course of the game.
